I recall the few games I watched last year. While watching the games, the ESPN crews continually raved about ACC, B1G and SEC Football. The continued their chatter even as the game continued off screen. Yes off screen, the camera was fixed on these blithering idiots while the game involving teams not in the conferences being talked about continued on. I recall feeling dirty and in need of a shower after each game last year. That's when I put my finger on it.

What had changed was ESPN. The "Show" was now more about ESPN's talking points then about the games, schools or players themselves. It had gone from a contest of skill and mental chess to one of continual self promotion. It had become all about the money.

I no longer sit by the TV with my snacks and drinks. Nor do I gather friends to grill on mass for the games. No, instead I head out side to the great outdoors with my kids. They'll be stronger and healthier for it. I know I am.

I still attend some Bulls and Rays games in person but the TV is left for the wife and her Soaps.

Thanks ESPN. 04-rock

So I'm less of a person because I watch sports on TV and you don't? Where the f**k do you get off with that attitude?

It is what makes America...well, America. We are all entitled to our opinions. That's where he gets off with that attitude. The same way you do with your attitude.

So you agree with him that I'm less of a person because I watch more sports than he and, I presume, you do?

No you're just psychotic for taking my post as an attack towards you. Try some reading comprehension. I don't give two cents for what you chose to do. I merely wrote what I think and do.

By the way, did I "Quote" you or in any other way direct my comments towards you or your post. "NO!"

Find anywhere in my response where I claimed you were singling me out? Also, I was responding to your condescending contemptuous attitude towards those people you deem to be less of a man than you.

The question still stands. Do you think I'm less of a man than you because I choose to stay indoors and watch sports on TV?

Show me where I inferred that anyone was less then myself because they watched sports on TV. I was neither condescending nor contemptuous. I do however find you offensive and lacking all reason.

At the very bottom of my post was whom the post was directed towards, "ESPN". It reflected the diminished quality of their broadcasts and my lack of enjoyment in them. Thus I chose to do other things. You have a great deal to learn.

As for your claim of where you stated that I singled you out, not to mention you referred to yourself as the target. Read the emboldened portion of your own post above. The fact that you even responded in such a way suggests you thought I singled you out.

Please in the future do not respond to my posts. I suggest another dose of Ritalin and a reading Tutor. 03-phew

RE: Do you still watch P5 football?
Getting back to the original question.....

I used to watch any college football game, often times switching back and forth between channels. Now it's almost always an ECU game or a game with an AAC team. Every now and then I'll take in part of a game from another non P5 conference.

Now, with the exception of ECU and other AAC games, I have better things to do with my time. There is a local small college team within walking distance of my house and I'll attend some of their games. Their team is composed of non-scholarship student athletes who play for the sheer enjoyment of the game, so that's also kind of refreshing in a way.

I don't give a rat's behind about watching a P5 game. Their greed and arrrogance has done so much to destroy the true spirit of fair, amateur college competition that I am pretty much disgusted with all of them.

Not like I used to, mostly singled out to WVU and Big 12 games.

Use to glue myself to TV on Saturdays in the Fall; no longer.
