RE: Gold Jerseys?
Company guy? I think we all like the team. We just won a big game. Your personal vendetta is oddly timed and conspicuous.

Yes, shallow. Not a knock on any people, per se. Just an observation. My generation was like that as well. It is the human condition. Young people love bling and clothing is an accessory, including uniforms.
To be fair, not ALL young people place that much importance on what the uniforms look like. If they did, teams like State Penn and Nebraska and Alabama would ditch the traditional plain looking uniforms because they couldn't recruit talent. That hasn't happened.
You haven't lived until your new pair of canvas Chuck Taylors were slipped on for the first time. Now, I'm with the cool kids. I got mine (but I payed for it myself).

They DID have a utilitarian purpose, as well as being sweet. Best sole surface at the time of any shoe. Grippy and sticky if they had swept the floor.

I don't know that there is much depth of character to having bland uniforms. I just enjoy that we re on the cutting edge of a trend for once.

I didn't like them today either. I really like the brown helmet with gold bronco and I really like the thought of a gold uni, but I didnt like the style of todays. Would have been better if the pants they wore were the exact same style, but instead of brown with white stripes they were matching gold and the stripe was brown with the oars on them to match the top.

RE: Gold Jerseys?
I went to the game with my dad today (who is a CMU grad).
My first comment when we took our seats was, "I'm not a huge fan of the alternates".
He said, "Eh, they're not bad. I don't mind them."
I've always been a fan of the new all-brown's and all-whites.
Didn't like these ones, and I really don't like the white jersey's with the gold slanted numbers that are hard to read. I've always loved all of our new helmets though.
That being said... if we win, I like them even better.

I liked today's look. Very modern. Cory Davis looked good at speed. Met some of Jarvion's family and they said it was a good look for the touchdown photos. Everybody near me in section C liked the uni's a lot, put some kind of spell on Frank Solich, he was wishing his guys had some nice ones like that.

Is this sentence english? Seems like your brain overwhelmed your fingers and outran them, causing you to combine two thoughts into one mess of gibberish. If you love something, do you criticize it? Oh, I get it - sarcasm.

They were selling the white ones today to players families for $100. Apparently they cant wear them anymore because they say "Row the Boat" in the name section on the back. Not sure if it is against the NCAA rules or what...but they cant be worn anymore.

I wasn't a fan of the jerseys at first, but they started to wear on me as the game went on. Maybe because we were putting one on them bobcats. They are not the best but not the worst either. Still a huge recruiting tool having new jerseys!

So what? Who cares how much time has elapsed? I was busy watching the game at the time. I responded to him asking ME why I was so hostile. I was asking him a question, no hostility involved. If he is going to perpetually play the victim, I'm going to call him out on it. I don't really care what you think about it, Liam.

I'm sorry, I thought you were better than that. Go ahead and keep on fighting about jerseys.

I pretty much like all jerseys even if the popular opinion is they're horrible, but I never want to see WMU in these ones again. One thing I don't like too is it seems like we're wearing different uniforms every game, especially last season.
I don't think I've ever seen Ohio play without that green uniform they had today or their respective white one.

Hearing about them I thought they'd be awesome. Watching the highlights, I was disappointed.
I guess I was thinking more "yellow" than "gold" in my head.

RE: Gold Jerseys?
Here is the thing with jerseys. Someone mentioned how Penn St, Bama, and others of that ilk don't have to change their jerseys. Well that's because they have a winning football tradition. People have grown up their whole lives knowing these programs. Their jerseys are synonymous with winning. What are our jerseys synonymous with? Being on the brink to only be let down? Haha. Nobody knows crap about WMU outside of the MAC and there really is no tradition of winning, so yeah, call attention to your program by playing the jersey game. I have no problem with it, even if the combo comes out bad.
Plus, how good can brown and gold really look? Seriously. We may love our school colors because most of us went there or are going there, but it's a difficult color combo to make look cool.
Milk, milk , lemonade, round the back fudge is made.
I don't have to wear em'. Good for PJ and crew for doing something different and for the sole sake of attracting recruits attention.
