Week # 2 - Matt Linehan - Idaho- QB 24/47 - 324 yards - 3TD* as Our Week #2 Sun Belt Freshman of the Week. Congratulations

Week # 1 - Larry Rose III of NMSU who had 149 rushing yards and 2 TDs as our first unofficial Sun Belt Freshman of the Week - for Week 1 - week of 8/30/2014. Sounds like he had a heck of a game, especially to be his first college football game. Congratulations

I thought about App's CB Gibbs who had 8 tackles and 2 INTs, but I'd rather go a somewhat unorthodox route and nominated the right side of App's Oline (Gosset and Nunn). Zero sacks allowed and 455 yards rushing, very impressive outing by those guys. Big Nasties need to win awards too right?

L. Rose III (NMSU) - 17 CAR, 155 YDS, 2 TD

Big Nasty's definitely deserve credit also. We did run at the right side almost exclusively Saturday. Unusual multiple nominations in one but sounds like an excellent nomination.

Latrell Gibbs for App

Had a huge bounce back game after struggling mightily against Liberty, getting benched. Got his first 2 interceptions as a true Freshman to go with 8 tackles

We need some more nominations.
May have been a week without a lot of freshman or
red shirt freshman accomplishments, but think about
it in case we are missing someone qualified.
