Shock? I'm not. ECU hasn't beat anybody all year. Honestly, the Committee has to be looking at this and the SMU game and asking itself 'Why not Marshall or Colorado State?" Legit question.

RE: What are you doing ECU!!
The last two games have been pretty scary for ECU fans, but I think the team is just bored of playing sub-par competition.

They'll crank it back up when Cincinnati and UCF get here.

RE: What are you doing ECU!!
ECU is winning by 10+ and being torn apart for it, including by myself at times. If 10+ point conference wins are bad with everything that ECU has riding on every game, i think it says a lot that ECU has won those games.

ECUs best win has gone in the tank and we have pointed a shotgun at out feet for 3 straight games. If the committee is paying attention Marshall will be above us.

It is a long season and few teams do well week in and week out. A win is a win.

Getting penalized for 100+ yards a game, turning the ball over, and falling down on D rarely equates to a W. Much less 3 consecutive double digit conference wins. We have work to do.

I've only been able to watch two ECU games this year. Is ECU a heavily penalized team?

At this point yes we clearly are.

Usually true. That's why a loss later in the season is treated more negatively. I don't think many people thought this game would be close but it was. If UCONN plays like this the rest of way then they should win some games.

This is not an excuse, but I think people have to throw in the fact that teams are getting up to play us right now. We don't play well being on top of the hill, never have.

RE: What are you doing ECU!!
honestly speaking i think ECU gets upset once...

ECU made 3 very subpar offenses look decent while struggling to put up points

everyone else on their schedule thats left can score points (an asterisk for tulane saying "only if tannner lee is qb"), i can excuse i game as a bad showing ,but 3 weeks in a row only versus bad opponents normally is an indication of teams have figured you out or you have fallen off...

someone will upset ECU

No one has "figured us out". We're killing ourselves. We still put up almost 600 yards of offense. That is nullified by penalties, turnovers, and lack of execution in the redzone.

Yeah, how dare UCONN try to salvage a lost season by trying to beat the big dog and earn a measure of pride and self-respect.

uconn had penalties too, actually alot, your last 2 drivves that landed in 10 points was half uconn penalties

and you have to put turnovers/lack of execution in the "figured out" the INT was because uconn rushed him back and forced him into a bad throw. teams watch film and figure out habits and try to exploit them
