Andrew Hawkins: Dream Big
Nice video interview, with a nice bonus of some old Rockets footage thrown in!

Always thought that Andrew got the shaft when he was trying out for the Cowgirls. He outplayed everyone on that show. Im old and can't remember what it was called.

Michael Irvin's show was called "Fourth and Long". I watch very, very little TV but I watched that entire series. Hawkins got a lot of good publicity but I agree that he got shafted when the committee picked Jesse Holley, a wide receiver out of UNC, over him. I don't think that the selection committee could ever get past their bias against Hawkins' size enough to pick him over Holly regardless of what Hawkins did on the field. Yet Hawkins is now in the NFL making significant contributions with the Browns while Holly is no longer in the NFL.

Hawkins is a poster child for hard work, determination and tenacity and that rarest of all accomplishments, achieving one's full potential----a true triumph of will.
