RE: Scheduling question
GS and App St can be at 85 also, but know that neither of us are.
Not money reason, but to spread out the classes more evenly.
So that's why I wondered if GaSt was not at 85 even yet.

I think Curry put all his eggs into season one and didn't really worry about the balance.

I thought we could only be at 77 or something like that this year.

Unless that's what we ARE at, and not what we COULD be at.

Stan, if it makes you feel any better, I always hate the game after an off
week. Normally seems like we forget how to play football in our off week.

Oh... don't take this as an excuse. I just thought it was strange. I am at the point where the most cringeworthy part of my football week isn't the final. It is the Monday injury report. I think coach said we are down to 53 for this week. Ugh.
Does Georgia State still not award 85 scholarships?
How many do they award?

This year they can be at the full 85, but they might not have that due to attrition, or holding some back for next year.

This is true. Which miles has done a wonderful job of thus far. Attrition, bad recruiting, and just guys not cut out. You can grey shirt players or take early enrollees as well so the actual number can be higher. one thing I do know is when you have less than 15 seniors on team its a recipe for a struggle. But largely I've been surprised by the results. The 4 straight weeks playing a team off a bye week was strange to me as well but that's life. It just accelerated the process for getting some young guys some game action.

May well be wrong, but believe both GS and App St had to be at @ 74 or 75 in first year of transition last year. Then more this year. Believe App State is @ 79 or 80 this year, didn't want to have 85 so could space the recruit numbers out more evenly.

Don't you have to know how to play before you forget?

...I'm sorry man, it was sitting on a tee.

I don't know the rules, but I believe we are at 77 scholarships this year.

App State had the same thing happen to them a few years ago. Heck was raised.

Yeah the good thing is your staff recognized it hence they save spots to balance it out. Anybody that knows myself knows I'm not a fan of the lame duck coaching debacle that most teams do or the farewell swan song tour. Hire the coach as early as possible so you can get him recruiting for his first year. Miles first class was admirable for a guy that literally had a couple weeks before signing day to fill out a dumpster fire of a roster.

Yeah that's what I was trying to figure out here: http://csnbbs.com/thread-708590.html Our didn't invert this year, but then again some schools left and some schools joined so I don't know what it would have done if that didn't happen.
