Like I said on the stAte board....
if he was trying to take out the guys knee, he would have used his shoulder/upper torso. Our guys knee/shin area made the contact.
IMO, nothing was there....especially intent.
He was practically lying on the ground. I guarantee that his technique may have been flawed but there is no way he was trying to hurt anyone. The same is true of the Tennessee player who injured Daniel Keith on the last play of our game in Knoxville. It is an intense game and a rivalry but there is no reason to invent drama.

The refs who ejected him thought that there was definitely some intent there.

Are we talking about the same officials who couldn't count to 4 in the Cajuns/Georgia State game two weeks ago?

We had one player ejected, but it's not the one yall are claiming tried to take out a knee. This happened with :54 left in the game.

Its easy to say when it isnt your knee.
So, every time someone is injured in a football game it is a deliberate act? I've had bones broken, a separated shoulder and knee surgery from playing football. It is part of the game.

We had multiple players leave the game with lower leg injuries last night. The ULL O-line was just better and more experienced than our DL. The more physically dominant team usually inflicts more injuries. No complaints from me.

I'm wondering which guy you're looking at. The third from left #6 used his shoulder right to the right knee of the offensive lineman.

Yes, Andrew Tryon for tossing a ball to a player and Irving Adams for a personal foul. Neither was the player on the PAT. I don't recall a flag on that play.

Nope...none. Frankie Jackson was #6 that was involved in that extra pt.

The official did announce an ASU ejection immediately after the PAT.

It appears to me that he went around the lineman....and was engaging that middle standing blocker.

now i have a question.

i'm guessing that the cajuns are xy-men and the red woofs are no longer the x-men of the conference. i now dub them xx-men.

Actually there were two. One on ASU resulting in the ejection and one against the Cajun bench, which was a coach who came onto the field after the play to complain. The penalties offset.

There was an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty and ejection on stAte after the PAT. An unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on the UL sideline was also called, offsetting the stAte penalty.

I've watched the play over and over. I really cant tell what he's trying to do. About all I can say is that he's not suppose to be there. One time I watch it and I can see him angling toward the holder to block the kick, then I watch it again and it looks like he's intentionally trying to dive at knees....03-banghead

I will say this....He's from Louisiana, so he can act emotional sometimes....

Dude was 5 yards from the holder. He wasn't trying to dive through to get to the holder to block the kick. He had one goal in mind...and he got what he wanted done.

Yeah. Look man, I agree. I can see where you could think that. It doesnt look good for our player. It was a heated game especially at the end. Emotions got the best of him, I guess.
Rewatching it now, heck your kicker was talking s*** after kicking XPs early in 2nd quarter. There were personal fouls on both sides all game long. It finally boiled over for him and he lost his composure I guess. Id be surprised if he dosent get suspended from the league office and/or Anderson.

chuckle. Were you here last year when I posted the thread after WKU beat stAte asking if WKU had just earned the GoDaddy Bowl slot? That was a riot of emotion.
