I'm not a betting man but if I was, those 14 points would be awfully tempting.

Every game scares me. I remember to many games where UT was heavily favored and struggled. I hope our players are focused and don't take UMass lightly. UT always gets the opponents best effort.

I liked the little article in today's Blade in 'The End Zone' section of the sports page. UT beat writer wrote about calling up some Lou Holtz wisdom. Treat three-touchdown underdogs like Alabama. Prepare as if the '85 Bears will be on the other side.

RE: UMASS preview - my view
The Rockets have had 2 weeks to heal up and prepare for a UMASS quarterback who might be the the best we will face all year. They better not take this game lightly along with Kent State. Hopefully playing with a sense of urgency on defense they can take out the Minutemen early. With that being said.
It's going to be a beautiful fall day. Take in the HC parade in the morning, tailgate with old friends, then support your university and team - THE TOLEDO ROCKETS 04-cheers

I hope the Minutemen stay true their names and have the ball for a minute with a 3 and out 04-rock, instead of having the ball for a minute and completing a 4 play, 80 yard touchdown drive......... 03-banghead

RE: UMASS preview - my view
With great fall football weather forecast for Saturday's Homecoming game and the prospects for a lot of offensive fireworks I hope the crowd is in excess of 20K. It should be a fun game to watch and the Rockets should emerge with the win, perhaps a comfortable win at that------but time will tell. It should be a high scoring game, but occasionally there are surprises---still I would look for something like 48-35 rather than 24-17.

RE: UMASS preview - my view
I'd imagine it will be the best crowd since Mizzou.
19,500-23,000

Great weather, a little time to tailgate, no highschool make up games, students (namely sorority's) will be attending. It'll be an old fashioned rowdy Toledo atmosphere. Umass hasn't been to Toledo, so they could get overwhelmed...

As easily as it could be a high scoring shootout, Umass could fall apart early and Toledo could come out and bully the young Minutemen.

Starting 4-0 would be HUGE... not to mention 10 days to get ready for Kent. I'll be as excited as I was for BSU in 2012 after staring 7-1 if we grab these wins!04-rock

No reason for a Rocket fan not to attend, and hopefully they don't go home disappointed! 04-cheers
