Who or what makes your team....
...so good &/OR so bad? All area(s) matter.

For a smaller school our Fan base is an advantage. The flip side, is the lack of funds available.

For GS, our traditions, option offense, history of winning quickly and always playing to win.

RE: Who or what makes your team....
our identity. we were born a program with no money, and we worked our asses off and played smash mouth football. We aren't a fancy team with fancy plays, and when we tried to do that we sucked for 4 years. This article sums is up pretty well

Our coaching changes.

No seriously, no one really knows what to expect out of us in a given year. Its hard to prepare for a team with only a few games of film on a particular system. Means teams can be slow to react to something.

We're the most equipped team in College Football to deal with something that could really hurt a program. That's a huge advantage at this level.

Keeping consistency with coaches (revolving door with DC's and OC's) and school admin that do not fully support the program. A P5 AD with the mentality to jack prices up and have no connection to the LC community.

On the downside, we still have no money. If you don't want to look, we are hanging out at the bottom of the list with our ULM friends.

App is the tradition, atmosphere, geography and alumni, weak right now is obviously the transition, changes made to an unbroken system of play

Without a doubt, it's the administration. If the people above the AD aren't pulling in the same direction, you'll never get anywhere.

Don't get me wrong. I definitely value my Georgia State education. But in a sentence... The school never made athletics any type of priority until football. It didn't have to be THE priority that some schools make it out to be. It would have been nice for it to have been on the list before 2010. If so, I think you have a more connected alumni base through those activities and not as empty as a stadium on Saturdays.

7? Pffftttt... 9.5 years. Only graduated because I wasn't going to my 10 year reunion without a degree. I ended up with 2.
