A good coach can coach anything. Didn't Zac Curlin?

was it just no confidence in the kicker to tie the game and send it to OT?

Going to be interesting what happens the rest of the season after the mystique of being undefeated is gone.

RE: Hugh Freeze scores one more in your face TD
Very tough loss for Mississippi, seeing their undefeated season dreams evaporate in Baton Rouge on a Saturday night. Plus with Auburn next week and the # 1 unbeaten Bulldogs in the final game, they could lose another game (or two) and not make it to Atlanta with what has to be their best team since Archie's junior season.

I personally thought Wallace showed a lack of sportsmanship running off the field to the Rebel locker room with time still remaining.

Freeze made a poor decision with 9 seconds left. The 47 yard FG was makeable but he opted to gamble and got burned. The replay showed Freeze's reaction to his senior QB's final pass. Total disbelief. "NO-O-O-O-O!!" Hmmm; maybe Wallace saw that coming off the field and decided to hell with it.

Folks in Starkville are probably just as ecstatic as the LSU fans tonight. The Bulldogs still undefeated and will remain # 1 in the polls.

Freeze didn't trust his kicker.

Wallace is a doucher.

Case closed.

Driving down inside the 10 then kneeling says, "we know we can score, but we're not going to because we don't want to embarrass you," which in itself is kind of embarrassing. I think what Freeze wanted was to call a bunch of runs in to the line of scrimmage so it didn't look like he was having pity on us, but didn't run the score up either. Dodson felt differently, and our D didn't stop him. It is what it is. Either way, I think Freeze was trying to do the right thing.

Freeze wanted to cover against us. That was all he was trying to do.

Yeah, he coaches based on betting lines. Do people not even think before they post?

Are you being serious with this? Have you ever watched Urban Meyer coach a game in your life? He was the king of this.

Part of your job as a coach, especially an SEC coach, is making the big money boosters happy. You know what middle aged dudes with lots of money like to do? Bet on sports. You know who they like to bet on? The teams that they happen to donate tens of thousands of dollars to support; their alma maters.

Next, do you know makes dude's with lots of money who bet on their own teams happy? Winning more money by betting on their team.

Last, can you guess where some of those gambling winnings may go the next time that their team passes the hat for donations? I'll give you a guess.

I just remembered you also believe Coach Cal threw the game against Missouri. I guess the Illuminati is controlling this all and 9/11 was an inside job.

Sorry, Colorado called and wants their weed back.

Actually, Cal DID throw the Mizzou game. Fact

RE: Hugh Freeze scores one more in your face TD
My son did have Coach Freeze as a teacher at Briarcrest, and Coach Freeze tried to protect him from the dastardly Briarcrest administration, probably because he wanted him on the football team. But I still think Freeze was a self-serving jerk. And I should have sued Briarcrest for some things they did.

Add me to the list of those who feel Freeze has been a jerk since he rode the coattails of one of his players to Ole Miss.

I don't understand this thread at all...

He was up 2 scores...It is 3rd and 6...You try to get the first down, bottom line.

Even with under 2 minutes left you can lose that game...That is not piling on.
