NO $%^%. My gosh WMU is for REAL. Holding BG to 14 on the road is impressive. A QB who may not sit for the next -2- years (sorry 4*) and combined with guys waiting in the wings. TIMES are a changing in the MAC West.

At least we have a Coach. Who is yours? Carey is terrible.

In Cubits first year we were a huge dog at BG. Ishmael leveled their All MAC QB and he was never the same. It was a turning point.

Don't remember who got the hit on the Bugs QB but he wasn't the same after that.

That was one of my favorite moments following the program. GJ had a game that if he was at ND they'd have written about for years. Great day to be a bronco.

Color me impressed. Spent the past week on the road so wasn't able to watch the game today... but I was checking the score all afternoon.

Needless to say, we're currently progressing quicker than even I expected - and I've always supported Fleck, for the most part.

Looking forward to Homecoming, that's for sure. We'll be in Kalamazoo!

RE: That was a HUGE win...
Per the original question, it feels like our board crams all of our observations in the game thread as opposed to separate threads (see our page counts compared to other popular boards like UT and NIU).

That said, two months ago, I would've been pleasantly surprised if we became bowl eligible this season. Now, at this point, I'd be disappointed if we didn't become bowl eligible (whether or not we actually got an invite).

The season has definitely been more enjoyable than last season [/captain obvious]. The team's gelling and playing a lot better, and Fleck's summer antics (videos, 'traditions', etc.) were far more scaled back this year. Saturday sports afternoons have certainly been back to some fun again.

5-2 with a B1G win under his belt. Far from 'terrible.'

RE: That was a HUGE win...
I think what a few don't realize is that some of us who have been supportive from the begging and seen this coming for quite some time... are exhausted from having to defend that position for more than a year.

Right now, I am just enjoying the win and happy to see things improving ahead of schedule. Having seen what I've seen following the program as closely as I used to (and still try to, in a different capacity), none of this surprises me.

It was only a matter of time.

It's a lot of fun to see it come to fruition.

Why would anyone rip on NIU and Carey. They are a good football team, and they have the type of program WMU is striving for. Yeah, I want to beat them, but they are the last team, or coach, anyone should be talking about.

Wow – that didn't take long. That might be the quickest banning ever.

Glad to see our mods took care of that quickly. That one was obvious.

Seriously. We don't need someone to create an ID to do a character. This is just a place for Bronco fans to talk about sports and the University. Spare us all the games.

Some people live on this board and just get worked up and emotional when anyone else offers an opinion. Must be rough having the coach you hate building the program you've always dreamed of

PJ Fleck IS doing it, that's for sure. We are still in-process, but given that this is the year of MAC-rebuild, it's great to see us pulling out some wins a bit early... on our way to be bowl eligible and possibly then-some?
