Marshall? lol. My guess is any of the top 4 AAC teams would be favored against Marshall.

Luckily we have a pretty accurate way of gauging point spreads. Sagarin's ratings usually very closely resemble Vegas lines.

. . . and I have bad news for you. Sagarin (as well as all of the computer ratings) have Marshall the highest rated G5 team. Marshall would be favored against all 4.

thats not true at all, or even remotely close

rutgers is ranked 81 by sagarin and would be favored above a good 50 teams ranked ahead of them...

are you just making things up to fit your narrative????

Leave him alone guys, he went to Marsha. He needs H.E.L.P.

Doubt that. UCF , ECU, Houston, maybe Memphis could beat them. They would lose one or two in AAC probably on the road.

LOL. Houston couldn't beat one of CUSA's worst teams on its home field. ECU got dick-stomped by a Marshall team last year that wasn't nearly as good as this team.

One game is one season.........overall record is tradition and ownership ..........ECU -10 wins and Marshall - 5 wins.....now that is a 67% winning record for ECU over Marshall as well a 6-3 record in cusa......now we know who is Marshall's Daddy on overall field of play! Now go back to your water down cusa board where finally Marshall may win its first male championship in any sport in its nine years of history of cusa

i wonder what the average attendance was for all of marshall's mighty road wins. i wouldnt be a bit surprised if it is less than we average for a basketball home game

All this bowl talk is too premature. Both teams still have 6 games left.

What polls? AP and Coaches? Marshall gained 2 spots on ECU this week alone. Marshall is also ranked higher in EVERY computer ranking. When the playoff committee goes to select the G5 rep, which do you think they'll reference, the objective computer rankings, or the subjective opinion of coaches and media members.

There is a 0% chance of the committee selecting a 11-1 ECU over a 13-0 Marshall for the Access Bowl.

I've gotta say.. I do miss our annual automatic win against Marshall. Kinda sad the eight in a row wont have a chance to grow to double digits

Its trolls like to tell you how good they are on paper but their nine year history record tells how poor their overall athletic program has been in cusa play.

Which one of your wins will impress the selection committee? Your schedule is hot garbage and a lot of teams would be undefeated with that schedule.

RE: FIU/Marshall
JESUS!!!! Will you all just STFU??? It's pretty stupid to have this debate...period...Let alone the idiots who have to try to disparage a state's populace because they can't win their argument. It's a shame this can't be settled on the field, but there's no way to prove anything and unless someone on here is the amazing Kreskin, there is no way to tell what the committee will do...

Bottom line is that if we were all still in the same conference, IF ECU and UCF were on the road, I'd say they would be favored...Probably in Houston as well considering we suck in Texas.

And realistically, I would say that we'd lose at least one game...more likely two... For instance, if we played like we did against Miami (OH) or started slow like we did against FIU against a solid team, it might mean that we're down 7-0 or even 14-0 especially on the road...

But like I've said before, to say that Marshall is a "1-AA" team (especially by a Memphis fan) or that we suck because of our schedule is so ignorant it's hilarious...

The thing that is really crazy is that Skip is 2-0 in CUSA Championship games and he beat two teams (Tulsa and Houston) with offenses that are just as good as Marshall's is right now.

Houston's offense in 08/09 was much better than Marshalls

Haha. Thats funny. That offense was not nearly as balanced or complete as this marsahll offense. In playing an average of 3.2 qtrs a game, it averages just under 600 yards and 46 pts a game... with 300 rushing and 300 passing basically.

Akron lost today because their starting QB was out hurt.

And to the memphis fan who said he doesnt watch 1aa football, do you realize how stupid you sound? You are a memphis football fan. Youve nevwr done anything. You were in cusa last season... get a life tool.

Wait Marshall only has to play 3.2 quarters a game? I call Foul on that nonsense.
