If you are not going to have a scrimmage at Madness I propose-

1. Have and event like last night for the pep rally, team introduction, and concert event.
2: A week later, have an open practice at the forum for the true fans that want to see the team. A Blue-Gray game if you will.

This would give everyone involved a chance to see the official introduction to the team as well as the actual fans a chance to see the team in practice form.
Send that idea in to the school and Josh. I love it. As a matter of fact it's perfect. However I'm sure someone somewhere will say..."we can't do that because bla bla bla". It's a top notch idea.

I think Kedren will be better and I'm a JJ fan. KJ will not have the same pressure and he is a big PG. JMO.

I also think JJ will do better out of the Memphis spotlight.

in a way it's already being done this season. Pastner opened a practice session one day this week for a group of true fans who want to see the team. it's just not open to just anybody

When you are playing cards, and you smile when you get dealt a really sweet hand. Your smile is your "tell". Some people try to mask it by, instead of smiling, maybe scratching there ear, or shifting in their seat, but they say everyone has a tell. It's just your job as his or her opponent to figure out what it is, and to hide yours.

Yep.

Here they are simply giving up something other than cards. By like card players, they hate being caught.

Your tell showed a while ago.

Thanks for pointing that out for me. I have fixed it for you!!

Now tell me how did my "tell" show a while ago?

It's really pretty simple. Your tell is that you have decided that both Pookie and Kedren will be better than Joe was, even though you haven't seen them play.

Now, you may have seen Kedren play at Vandy over a year ago before he gained weight or got caught up in music; but no one has seen Pookie take the floor against a D1 school. He is an unknown.

That's why you get put on the dissatisfied with JJ list, rather than on the pro Pookie or pro Kedren list.

How is an opinion a tell? He thinks Kedren will be better than Joe. Why does that make him a troll? IMO true "trolling" is when someone after EVERY game goes back the next day to try and embarrass posters who were posting in a game thread over pure emotion.

I didn't say he was a troll. I said he has a tell. We all have them unless we are 100% neutral and that's just not feasible when it comes to fandom.

A tell lets us predict what someone's opinion will be in scenarios from now forward. I don't consider a person to be a troll because he has a different opinion. There are some who never miss a chance to express their opinions by putting our program or a player down... in some way. This is not so much an opinion of the person they prefer, as it is an opinion of the person they dislike. lol. That is all.

To have to make a point by putting someone/something else down is a life style choice, and all life style choices are welcome here.

Not true or Stammers would still be posting

On the other hand, you can have a 2-3 star player that KNOWS how to play basketball. Now I may get bashed, but I am a TRUE BLUE Tiger fan first and foremost. I just so happen to be in the minority who thinks that Joe Jackson was not that good of a player. True he lead the team in scoring a couple of years, but IMO he was not impactful as some have been lead to believe. Yes he was from Memphis, and yes he chose Memphis when some thought we would be relegated to the hole when Cal left. I truly think Pastner had his hand tied with the Joe regime and that include Chris Crawford and Tarik Black. Now I'm not bashing Joe, Chris or Tarik because I truly wanted the Memphis talent to shine. I simply believe he (they) was/were not as good as the media and fans thought he (they) were. They were incredibly and undoubtly inconsistent throught their years here. Heck each year after the first handful of games, we heard rumblings that Joe may transfer. Every year. Now, multiple basketball publications has questioned whether our backcourt will be any good at all. Trust, Kedren will be and upgrade. Heck Pookie will be an upgrade. I won't say anymore until we see for ourselves. Media propaganda has lead many to think this team does not have talent. I seem otherwise and the season will show that much.

Excellent post. Just ignore the board police and continue to post your opinion.

Brother Bluto, I appreciate it. I am fairly new to this site but was a longtime member of the other site MR under the same screen name. I came over here not to post a ton, but to find out any tidbits I can about my Tigers. I at the games at the FEF regularly and attend at least one away game each year since 95-96 season. Still remember when Chris Garner lead Tigers lit up the Cuonzo Martin lead Purdue Boilermakers in Kansas City. This year I'm headed to Vegas and will be in section 106 in Orleans Arena. For those that insinuate that I'm a troll, I would be glad to meet you. Bluto, I appreciate your support and will keep posting. By the way, I learned to use the "ignore" feature already.04-rock

Mimi tends to b*tch a lot.
Just move along04-cheers
