Can't be true. She should be pissed. She should be demanding he be released. She should be demanding he be arrested. NO JOKING ALLOWED!

It would probably help if the joke at least somewhat resembled a joke. I mean, what exactly do you think was the punchline here?
Again, no context for viewers to understand. The best that could be gotten was that he was teasing her and that is very unprofessional while she was working. How else do you think people should react? Ignore what they think they are seeing and let the glass break?
This is on them, not the reaction. The reaction was quite reasonable.

RE: Heads up Coach Kalsow!
There's no context for the people who just watched the short clip on youtube and never had any exposure to her interviews before.
I'm not an NBA fan, so I rarely watch the Cavs, but there was an article in the Scene (local Cleveland independent paper) that pointed out if you watch all the games and see her interviews with the players, you would know that they are constantly playing jokes on each other. Maybe it was a silly and not well thought out joke, but that's all it was. But of course the media outlets that picked up on it have no experience with that, and no desire to dig any deeper to find out more. They just want a quick controversial soundbite that will cause people to click on the link to their story so they can make another 0.3 cents of advertising dollars.
Edit: Sorry, it wasn't the Scene article but this blog post I was referring to: http://www.waitingfornextyear.com/2014/1...d-waiting/
