Neil Callaway approves.

Watson is 2-4, Mrs. Brown.

The team people on this board care about is 4-3.

Yep. 2 steps forward, 1 step back. We looked very bad today.

False. Our defense had its hiccups, but those guys played their asses off today.

I didn't say defense. In an earlier post I said Defense played well and offense cost us the game. I believe that... Offense cost us the game by TOs and bad play.

You see how that can be confusing? I can't remember what every person posts in a game thread, but I can call things as I see them.

Well the offense was out of sync today. Although we got to get Cody to put more spin on the ball.

Not enough TDs in the red zone. You're almost always going to end up regretting it when you have to settle for FGs. Much of that was driven by penalties.

I didn't expect to win this game before the season, but it was definitely one I felt we could have and should have won after the way we have been playing lately. Going to have to win the ones ahead of us that we should (FAU, USM) to reach bowl eligibility. I think USM and FAU are games we can win. La Tech, Marshall, and Arkansas will obviously be tough.

Same here, but I would even take 5-7 after the misery we have suffered the last several years. 6 wins is still possible. I think we will beat FAU and USM.

Tough loss to swallow because this team has given us fans a lot to believe in.
I still believe that we can beat Arkansas next week. As long as we win the turnover battle.

You're the one who brought up old coaches, Mrs. Brown.

Some of you guys need to put things in perspective. First, winning 5 games this year would mean winning the same number of games of the past *2* seasons combined, an improvement. Also, if you can't watch these games and see that the coaching and the team has improved somewhat, then you shouldn't be watching football. They aren't going to win a national championship the first year out. Have reasonable expectations, stop acting like the sky is falling during a coach's first year, and stop behaving like an SEC fan.

Well put. It was a road game against one of the best teams in the conference. We already won twice as many games as we did last year. We have had shaky QB play in about half our games. The team, especially the defense, has shown major improvement this year.

I don't disagree with any of that.

Still think we gave this one away, though.

Still think we get a least 2 more wins but most the issues we have are on us not the opposing team.

The game went pretty much exactly like I thought it would. The loss being expected doesn't make it hurt less.
