RE: Week 8 football RPIs
In the latest version of the computer polls (Billingsley and Wolfe haven't updated yet), Marshall leads in all 4 updated polls, and Colorado State has leapfrogged ECU in two of the updated polls.

(Note, I've included La Tech as well. If the Bulldogs keep winning, it will come to the magical mathematical formula to host the conference championship).

Anderson: Marshall 12, Colorado State 28, ECU 30, La Tech 74
Colley: Marshall 10, Colorado State 19, ECU 31, La Tech 52
Massey: Marshall 18, ECU 30, Colorado State 35, La Tech 59
Sagarin: Marshall 31, ECU 39, Colorado State 59, La Tech 69

Billingsley: Marshall 27, ECU 30, Colorado State 37, La Tech 90 (not updated for Sat.)
Wolfe: ECU 32, Marshall 44, Colorado State 53, La Tech 98 (not updated for Sat.)

Colorado State needs Boise State to lose again in order to advance to the MWC championship game, else they aren't a factor for the New Years 6 Bowls. I mentioned last week, it's shaped up that the computers are going to increasingly favor Marshall as there is virtually no SOS difference (per the computers) between Marshall and ECU the rest of the way.

I have nothing but love and respect for what Marshall is doing and think they at least deserve the Access Bowl berth. But a No. 3 RPI is ... dodgy.

Marshall with a 3 for their RPI? Uhm... how? (and I'm usually a big fan of the WN system.. but that one makes zero sense).
