For one... this is the smacktalk thread.

For two, there are some who believe that your recent success is directly related to those past recruiting indiscretions.

( and before everyone starts trying to defend... I know they can only prove certain people were contacted and only some played... lets just say your recruiting rankings went up just before your scandal was found out. )

I for one am walking away from this thread, but until UCF goes a period of time without being on suspension, then questions about your program will continue. In a few years, you may not have to deal with this stuff, but as of right now, your still on probation and the questions will persist. Its a self inflicted wound. Dont get mad at those of us who question your success. Stay clean and nobody has anything to talk about. Thats not smack talk, just truth.

(I know a ton of UCF fans that agree and are ashamed of that part of your past)

Dude, again with this? Seriously let it go. Yes we have some nefarious dealings with our ex AD. Yes he cheated. No one owes you or fans an apology. This also happened a couple of years ago. We all talked about this ad nauseum, even USF are over it. This is why I negged you because you're clearly trolling when you bring up stuff like this repeatedly and unprovoked. Jared, I let the thread go and fans kept posting. You say people are over it...nope. UCF fans are over it and want it to not be talked about but every time some highly egotistical smartass UCF fan goes on about your success, we ALL refer back to the cheating. Hell, your coach cant seem to stay out of the news, can he... and not for a good reason!

I hate to break it to you but when people talk about the HR record, there will always be an asterisk... UCF fans talk about your success, there will always be an asterisk. It would be one thing if you were caught once, but no it was twice. Your wins are tainted and until you win for a while without being nailed, then you will get the respect you crave.

You wouldn't be coming back to this thread if you truly didn't care about the respect factor... and you wont get it until you can win without cheating.

Ill break this down for you... MOST players that are recruited illegally are never caught. The majority of us who have concerns about UCF believe that your very rapid up tick in recruiting had to do with the cheating... just because football players weren't proven to be on the field, doesnt mean that you didnt benefit from it.

Simple fact is that UCF did cheat, were caught twice and many people have questions about how a team who didnt have much success for the better part of 20 years all of a sudden became a conference champion.

Maybe you did it on the up and up... maybe some players made it on the field that were never caught. Until your school wins without a cheating scandal around it, there will always be questions and no amount of beating the same lines will change that.

All UCF fans sound the exact same. Youve adopted the same lines to defend yourself instead of seeing the whole thing like everybody else in the world does... When people talk about miami's championships, their cheating is always associated... yet it was never fully proven how many players made the field.

Win without cheating and this perception goes away. Plain and Simple.

Yeah but we really had to throw money at Blake Bortles. He chose UCF over Western Kentucky, Purdue, Colorado State, and Tulane!

Oh and most of those teams (including Tulane) said he'd only be a tight end.

If usf could win at all y'all would maybe change the perception of your program. usf uses the same lines to attack so UCF uses the same lines to defend. Plain and simple UCF is a better football program than usf

I have tried to walk away from this thread multiple times but if your gonna keep posting ignorant posts like the one above I will keep coming back and restating... NOBODY believes you were actually caught with all the people you illegally recruited. No team is ever fully caught

The FACT that you were caught twice and never fired either coach shows what type of administration your school has which is "win at all costs".

So let me put it simply. I would rather never win another game and hold my head high because my school is clean and not a piece of cheating ****! Is your team better... maybe.... did your school cheat... YES! TWICE!

Where im from its innocent until proven guilty. So unless there is evidence to prove we broke more rules than what were found we have to assume innocence. We appealed the ruling from the NCAA on the football and won so obviously the NCAA thought we deserved to win that appeal. Idk why you think you know something more than the people that actually investigated the situation.

Your basketball coach got a new Contract and he is CURRENTLY on a "show cause". Oleary was the "CEO" of the team (his words) when the cheating happened and he got a contract extension.... and lets not even talk about the death of a player under his leadership.

At some point UCF fans just need to accept that their team has done some seriously dirty stuff and have some humility about it. Once you win without the cloud of cheating around your school, then the issue will be moot. For now, your success has an asterisk.
