Halloween Letter
Dear Tiger Fans,

The Memphis Athletics Department has some exciting activities planned for the upcoming home game vs. Tulsa on October 31st and we want to invite you to participate in the fun. In addition to the homecoming celebration and the pre-game concert with Bret Michaels, the Tigers are planning to offer Trick-or-Treating on Tiger Lane prior to kick-off!

We are encouraging all Tiger Lane parking holders to participate by arriving early on game day and bringing wrapped candy to distribute to Trick-or-Treaters. Our marketing department has purchased commemorative Tigers Halloween buckets and glow sticks for our friends on Tiger Lane. Members of the Spirit Squads will distribute the buckets and glow sticks between 4 and 5 PM to any Tiger Lane parking holder who brings candy. The illuminated buckets will be placed in front of your parking spot so that our Trick-or-Treaters can easily identify where to go.

Our athletics marketing staff will operate a check-in booth near the fountain on Tiger Lane where Trick-or-Treaters will receive Memphis-themed Halloween bags and instructions for Trick-or-Treating. Trick-or-Treating will be promoted from 5 to 6:30 PM on Tiger Lane and fans will be allowed to wear costumes and bring candy into the Liberty Bowl for the game (Note: masks can’t be worn when entering the stadium or walking on the interior concourse).

We are looking forward to a great evening and appreciate your support in making this a fun event for Tiger fans of all ages. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

Go Tigers!

If Halloween were to fall on a Saturday, this might be a huge success. As it is, most people will not be able to escape work/class to get down in time to tailgate.

Not going to work that day. Gonna tailgate all day. May bring the PS3 for the kids since no football games on TV. I'll have plenty of candy to pass out as well.

do you know if they are doing the inflatable jumping tents for the kids?

Most people I know leave work early on Halloween, particularly if they have kids. The fact it's a Friday is a bonus. If the weather is good and we take care of business against SMU next Saturday, we will have 35-40K at the game...and Tiger Lane will be a blast.

I saw Poison at the Coliseum when I was 16, & now I get to bring it full circle by seeing Bret Michaels perform in front of the coliseum at 40.

I need to get my hands on a hair crimper before Halloween.

Why do you need a Tiger Lane pass? Just park across Parkway on one of the side streets, and walk across.

Yeah, professors do not give vacation time to take off when you please. If you have class on Friday until 5:00pm, you have class on Friday until 5:00pm.
