Impressive by UTEP especially considering they have not been that good lately in football. Nice core of fans.

It's funny, because that's the first thing that caught my eye, also. I'm impressed with UTEP's attendance. And it's nice to see that San Antonio (beautiful city, btw) is getting behind UTSA with some consistency, now that the team is starting to move past that new novelty appeal.

I like seeing UAB up as high as they are. Watched some of the game vs UNT and when the camera got a glimpse of the side where most fans sit, it was an eye opener to see the difference in the 2 sides, just as UAB fans have been saying all along. A 30k ocs would be great for UAB and the perception of their attendance. Also noticed a similar situation for UTEP in their game vs ODU. Most of the camera shots of the crowd were on the east side where there were fewer fans but once or twice the camera angle caught the west stands and there were a lot more people there.

Have to add up the bottom seven to top Michigan Stadium's single game capacity. Or the Top five to do the same...

Relatively speaking every single team's attendance is either pathetic (in comparison to the top 20% of FBS programs) or about the same if considered in comparison to other G5 schools or within conference.

You guys all have little man complexes in a big way...

Isn't there an NCAA rule about FBS attendance? I'm thinking schools are supposed to average 15,000 over a certain time period. Does FAU or FIU meet this requirement?

UAB needs something similar to what Tulane built. How large have the previous proposals been for an on campus stadium? I wonder if UAB submitted a small 30K type stadium if the powers that be might let something they consider second tier slide through. If the fear is that UAB will get too strong---how threatening is a 30K stadium? An intimate 30K stadium with lots of bells and whistles with the fans right on top of the action might work well for UAB.

Yeah, that was the proposal. 30k stadium on campus... etc. etc. We're just waiting on a couple high profile funerals to happen until we can get our stadium.

Did I miss something? I don't see any attendance figures and the video is just a Marshall highlight reel.

UAB, if your stadium does come to fruition you would be wise to build a 40k stadium in case your team starts getting better. This way if you have more fans than seats you can always increase your ticket prices. Do what New mexico did by their building a 40k stadium. This way if your football isn't good less fans won't make a difference in tv perception. But if it's full it'll make your school look big time.

The NCAA abolished this rule.

No they did not. Its an average of 15k on a rolling two season basis. Those schools will magically have enough one of the two years to remain.
