Opening lines
I'm a little surprised at the USA/GAST and ULL/TXST lines.

Louisiana-Lafayette
Texas State -4.4

Appalachian State
Troy -6

New Mexico State
Idaho -4

Georgia State
South Alabama -17

Home field advantage for TxState which is about 3 points, so they're basically calling this one a toss up.

That South Alabama line looks wild to me.

I think that's a mistake. Should be 4.5.

RE: The USA-GSU line-

I'm thinking the oddsmakers and sharp gamblers are showing some respect for one of only TWO teams this whole year whose defenses were able to hold Mississippi State to 35 points or less including some pretty tough P5's.

You don't think it had to do with the beatdown they just took at home?

Didn't hurt that Georgia State finally looked vulnerable offensively for the first time this week. It makes sense that Vegas would see South as having a better defense than AState because of the Miss State game, so it makes sense that they would give South a big edge at home.

Truthfully I'm confused about why people are shocked by the line. We opened -13 At Georgia State this week. It would make sense that USA would be a 17 point favorite at home.

Don't know about -6 against app st. I don't think we can stop their offense. IF TROY wins I see 2.5.

Yeah, I was thinking 10 tops. I was expecting it to drop but it's at 17.5 now. I guess it's because of the game this weekend. I still remember the UL game though where the Panthers looked pretty darn good. Who did they lose this week? Caffey?

I think it looks about right too. Jags are coming off a bye week, at home and the offense is starting to click.

Georgia State is pretty banged up so it could be an even bigger spread...

Well, I had a brain fart. I read Georgia State and thought Georgia Southern. 01-wingedeagle -17 to GaSouthern would be weird.
