Some better be careful what you wish for. A small stadium will also mean higher ticket prices. Some long time ticket holders might lose their seats.
I think the benefits outweigh the negatives, but there are absolutely alternative takes.

Considering what he dealt with at TCU, he should be happy with what he sees at Memphis.

Brett Michaels is playing before the game! That should be good for an extra 2000 at least!

The look on Coach Fuente's face can be mistaken for "pissed", but it is the same look that he has brought to every Tiger Walk since he's been here. Most people would call it a "game face". He wasn't thinking about the crowd before kickoff.

Amen. People just look for things to cause drama here. Now, if someone actually talked to Fuente, and he said that, then sure...

I can promise you the people who didn't go could give two $hits if Fuente is pissed. If he doesn't like it, he can go somewhere else. Although I'd caution him it'll be similar problems wherever he ends up next because he's not going to Florida.
He needs to focus on winning first and foremost. Urban Meyer found a way at Bowling Green and Utah. Brian Kelly did it at Central Mich and Cincy. Cutcliffe does it at Duke. Put on the big boy pants, Fuente.
I'm sure nobody would give 2 $hits if you went somewhere else. Like to Central Michigan or Cincy or Duke. Grow up.

I'm not! These are the true fans that we have the others are hangers on and will show up when we do something like blow a team out. We will average around 35000 to 40000 the rest of the way depending on how we do at SMU. If it's a blow out look for 40 plus if we lose the loyal 25000 will be there. If we lose they won't even bring the kids for the free candy and leave afterwards it just depends whether we are winning or not.
Just the facts.
I say we win and go 8 and 4 to go bowling. I'll be at all the home games and my go to SMU. No tickets available for Tulane yet.

if he was pissed due to 32k being there, he must have been in a bad mood his entire stint at TCU
I wonder how many walk ups decided not to go after the ticket window/ computer debacle at the MTSU game ?
I wonder how many walk ups decided not to go when our local weather men, all week, kept predicting strong thunder storms for Saturday night and kept repeating over and over, "if you're planning on going to the Tiger game, be prepared for 100% heavy rain". There were 10 people in my tailgating group that have season tix didn't go due to the weather forecast. Jim Jaggers and Tim Simpson, channel 3, leads the pack in being wrong with their drama queen weather prediction for Saturday night. I was actually happily surprised at the crowd turnout we had, in spite of the weather forecasts.

I said "IF HE'S PISSED". As others have noted, we don't know that he is pissed about the attendance. That was speculation on another poster's part.
If he is pissed, then I stand by what I said. If he isn't pissed, then nothing to see here. Carry on.

So now you're throwing the coach under the bus because he "could be" disappointed about a 30k turnout?
He has this team at .500 halfway through the season for only the second time in a decade. You want him to "go coach another team" if he isn't happy with a 30,000 fan turnout for a team that was receiving votes in the top 25 polls?
What's wrong with you?
