Great photo!

And it looks like the bathrooms in the southeast corner of that photo are the same as what we have now. Definitely seems like when using those bathrooms. 03-puke

Thanks for posting the photo. That is indeed the way the campus looked when I first arrived in Toledo in late summer of 1975. Lots of changes over the past 40 years for sure.

For reason I can't explain, the library doesn't really look out of place to me.

No lot 10? So where'd everyone tailgate and park? I'm guessing there's that parking lot opposite lot 10 that isn't shown in this picture...

Very cool picture, thanks for posting.

That has to be before 1974 when I started at UT. Lot 10 was paved by then...

There were two old wooden structures on the mall as well. Took Psych classes there. You could see classes below you through holes in the floor..

RE: Early 70's GB/Campus Photo
It looks like Carlson construction is completed in this picture so I would say it was taken in the spring of 73. Larger trees do not have leaves and smaller ones are green so it would not be summer or fall. I remember touring Carlson and the law school which was under construction at the same time in 72 before they were done. Campus police were not pleased but they were on the return trip from the Brass Bell to Parks Tower. How could we resist? 04-cheers

Married student housing is gone so that puts this shot in 1972 I think. The large grassy space across Bancroft, east of the tower abuts my grandparent's house. My mom watched the tower going up, later graduated from UT? Shortest commute ever.
