Memphis State fans tell me the measure of a team is the quality of its losses. This is why M-State is truly awesome!
I think Miami just scored again

West Tennessee Normal Logic: M-State lost to Ole Miss. 'Bama lost to Ole Miss. Therefore, M-State = 'Bama. 04-cheers

Cincy loses to anything with a pulse. High tackles

This is an accurate statement, but let's stick to the topic: why Memphis is awesome.

I think there's a lot of herpes in that fountain at UCF...

UCF and Houston played a game down to the wire. So did Memphis and Houston. Either game could have easily gone the other way.

Quite frankly, and just my opinion, but if Houston had to face either team again this season, I'd think beating UCF would be the easier task.

I thought last week that Houston had a good chance to win as they have a pretty good defense. Their problems have been on offense. They were toe to toe with a very good UCF team. Memphis is still learning to perform in the moment. It takes a while. If you look at both Memphis and Houston each have balance between offense and defense, but have a missing piece here or there. Houston has found a QB. Memphis needs to take care of the ball better. Those 2 plus ECU, UCF, and Temple appear to have the balance between defense and offense to be the top 5 in the league. Cincinnati is still very dangerous. UCF, Memphis, and ECU probably have the best defense with ECU having the best offense. Lots of games left. Conference play just starting. All have a lot to play for, bowl slots, national respect, etc. Conference play is really intense. Makes it fun.

I always said this was gonna be a solid football league... The AAC has many rich history programs and we're only getting started.

Houston made the plays and Memphis did not. Memphis had numerous chances to put the game away early up 14-0 and again late but they turned the ball over deep in Houston's territory at least three times with a total of 5 turnovers. Kudos to Houston on that because they disguised their coverages well and confused Lynch who is still a Sophomore. They also had pressure on him all night. The strip fumble of the receiver at the Houston 25 with a minute left in the game was the icing on the cake.
Houston is a different offense with a running QB. We could not figure out how to tackle him even having him dead to rights for a sack multiple times. His long run with Houston down 14-0 got them back in the game and then Memphis immediately drove to Houston's 30 or so and laid the ball on the ground with a bad QB exchange. Houston then tied the score at 14 all and were completely back in it.
