Just curious if he's in his own head or if it's a physical limitation that maybe he's downplaying...
Last Saturday....20 -26-0 for 216 yds and 2 touchdown passes...7 rushes for 37 yards

Well, looks like he got his groove back... Hope it doesn't stay!

Better question for this one is, if the Bobcats fall behind, will Dennis Franchione have any idea what to do?

If ULL wants to win all they gotta do is let us go up by two TD in the first half then well try and run the clock out by running every play and going 3 & out over and over. 01-lauramac2

You haven't recognized Fran's gameplan yet? It's truly dynamic.

Option A: Get up early, second half start to burn clock to shorten the game, thus preventing the other team opportunities to score and catch up.

Option B: Get behind early, start to burn clock to shorten the game, thus preventing the game from getting totally out of hand.

and

Option C: Players Accidentally get scores such as 95 yard runs when you meant to waste clock, bench player to avoid again and say it is so that they can get some "rest", continue burning clock to shorten game .04-cheers

Seriously, what's was Franks' problem? Did it three separate times. Should have fallen down after getting the first down instead of screw with the Fran game plan. 05-nono

It sure would be nice for the Texas State play calling to stay aggressive all 4 quarters. Our offense needs to load up the score board every game going forward.

Yes he will be out for that game, tell francionne not to even worry about him.

That's what I heard as well.

I heard that McGuire won't even travel with the squad. He's been ordered by the doctor to stay home and keep his toe elevated.

Seriously though. As someone who ran Track in high school and college, doing 3-90 yard sprints at full speed WITH pads on makes your legs feel like dead weights. Not to mention all the yards in between where he's getting tackled. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if your boy was exhausted.

Franks did run track and play football in HS. He thought about doing both in college but it wasn't possible. Ran anchor on 4x100 and they won States his senior year. Currently holds TXST football 40 yd record. I think, after 5 yrs with the team (redshirted) he can manage the runs and not wear out. He's always been good; just hasn't had the line to open it up for him since his freshman year. (had a 254 yd game vs McNeese). He's a downhill runner and just needs a hole to let him loose.

I realize the last part of your comment was to be taken lightly; just throwing some facts out.

David Mayo just 1 tackle shy of leading the NCAA in total tackles, time for him to shine on the big stage.

David Mayo is a shiner. Wait, he's a gamer. I got it...he's a shiny gamer!

I thought I read somewhere that tackles are not official NCAA stats, or something like that. They are reported by the school and that's pretty much it.

This isn't to discount what Mayo means to our defense, but isn't that the case?

I wholeheartedly expect him to have a huge game against us, primarily because our offense forces linebackers to make most of the tackles.

Well here is the NCAA stat page I got the info from, watching him play though I don't doubt the 72 total tackles ( 34 solo, 38 assisted) they have listed for him.

As well they (LBs) should be. LBs and other DBs should be having the most tackles, forcing the plays into their paths.

Our top 5 tacklers are 2LBs, S, CB, DE

Last year there the UL fans were so much more talkative.
