Houston @ Memphis Score Predictions:
I see Memphis taking care of business this week, but they will play a better defense than Cincy's. I don't see Houston scoring a whole lot, though.

FINAL:
Memphis 31-13

good prediction but Our D I don't think gives up over 30. I say 23-10 Memphis. In a yawner, boring game.

Not a bad prediction. Memphis' O would have to play really well to get 30+

we lost to BYU 33-25 and that will be probably the most we give up all year unless we turn it over 4 times like we did against UTSA. We have one of the worst, if not the worst O in the country....If we had just half a pulse of an O we would be undefeated, but we are really bad Offensively!

RE: Houston @ Memphis Score Predictions:
Memphis creates turnovers so if they can keep that up, that can lead to points. It would not surprise me to see memphis get 31 and it wouldn't surprise me to see them at 23. I think it will be somewhere in the middle probably.

So do we, if we didn't have so many take ways we would be in bad shape.

I think Ward can come out and surprise the Memphis D. Still a close one, but Memphis squeaks it out @ 24-17

Meh we had to play similar QBs better or to his level all season this year. If he does what Hudley did them we might have an issue.

ward isnt like any qb youve played all year...im not saying he'll be effective or anything

but youve played "pocket passers" who dont mind running, similar to lynch himself

ward is a true dual threat who can clock a 4.4/4.5, the reason he was moved from backup/wildcard qb last year to WR initially this year was because our coach said he was one of the most athletic players on our entire team and he had to be on the field, he was named a starting WR over a 5star and 5 3tar guys playing zero WR and no experience before joining UH (he's a true soph)

grammer, hundley, wallace and kiel arent "similar qbs" to ward

the thing everyone has in question is if ward can pass, including some of our fans who prefer okorn.. okorn is the obvious better passer as far as Technic, pocket presence and okorn has a rocket for an arm arguably the strongest in the league (between him and kiel)

but i always point out ward hasnt really been "allowed to throw" he's been running the wildcat
his senior year of high school he threw 4100yd, 70% 44td 5int (ran for 1000+ more yards)..

this will be our first chance to see what he can do with the real offense and being "the guy", he could be manziel-esque or just a guy who can run

6 to 4 Memphis wins matching the ugly win #25 Iowa had over Penn State in 10/23/2004:

Meh I am pretty sure Odom will have a plan to control ward from running everywhere. Most teams can't pick up on our blitzes anyway.

RE: Houston @ Memphis Score Predictions:
Not really understanding why all these people are thinking Memphis is going to score 28, 30, and 40 points. The Houston defense is for real and the Memphis offense is much less impressive when it's not going against whipped cream defenses like MTSU and Cinci. The Memphis offense is better than ours (who's isn't?)--but both defenses are excellent. This is going to be low scoring 17-10 type affair with Memphis coming out on top.
