I believed UC never tried hard enough to expand there market reach more Regional.
Past AD's and administration settled for what media/Clear Channel would give them. the schools so many vendors and alumni around the county its puzzles me why I have seen no effort to think out side the box. Its called marketing and it will expand your base if you wourl at it.
Things that could change this are as follows;
1. Establish a radio network in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky just like Louisville has done. There are plenty of radio stations looking for programing. Buy the time if necessary work with ING.
2. Establish some regional rivals like Indiana, Purdue, Kentucky, Louisville, OSU, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Western Kentucky, Illinois, Northwestern on some type of rotating schedule home and home or neutral site.
3. Set up alumni visits in towns around the region with coaches and team. Indianapolis, Columbus, Cleveland, Louisville, Nashville where ever there are concentrations of UC alumni.
4. AAC should get a channel on XM/Sirus to carry AAC games and programing on a regular basis. Like the old Big East had inside the Big East on local or regional TV/cable.
