He will likely play the whole game. Enos is on the hot seat.

Its the same as the Peterson thing in Minny. Not the offense committed, of course, but the action of the team.

Was tempted to pick C but the Chimps may be behind from the first possession, if their opponent elects to receive.

Exactly. They're playing Toledo, too -- a big game. Since he can legally and ethically by NCAA standards play him -- I think he has no choice BUT to play him, seeing how CMU fell downward without Rawls (and Davis, their star WR).
I would if I was in Enos' shoes. Suspending him for a half or one more game -- what's that going to do? Pretty much nothing in the eyes of everyone. If you're going to play him, already with his Suspension, extending it by 25% more (a half), or 50% (a full game) -- to "do more than Ray Rice" -- do you really think everyone will be like "Oh, okay. No criticism will come toward him keeping Rawls playing this year."
That won't do him any favors. It's either bench him for a year -- or play him right off the bat if that's 100% allowed.
What WILL change things, for better or worse, is winning -- let's be real. If CMU was 3-0 right now, I think they would consider benching him. But Enos is gone if they don't start winning regardless.

You are right, of course. The end justifies the means. That is the way we roll in the modern world.
