Troy-UAB
USM-USA
App-UNCC (or Marshall)
TxSt-UTSA
ULL-LaTech
NMSU-UTEP
ODU-JMU (once the Dukies come to their senses, if not than, perhaps you-know-who can have this slot)
ULM and AState vs WKU or MTSU
GaSo and GaSt can play the F_Us perhaps.
I like it, except give me Marshall over UNCc any day.
We'll take UNCC if you are taking Marshall.

What is your record against Troy and USA again? 2-5 against Troy and 0-1 against USA? Come on dude. You beat Bowling Green and now you're world beaters?
Come on man take a
joke. I respect both or I would not still come over to the belt board
You went there. Have to let me rebut it. :)
I'm still hopeful USA will get it together. Our defense is there. Our offense is close but has yet to click. If we get offense rolling we should be able to have a nice finish to the season.

I equate it to South Carolina v. Georgia and Georgia v. Florida. South Carolina fans will refer to Georgia all day long as their big conference rival, and a Georgia fan would be quick to point out it isn't a two way street. I think it is the same with State and Southern and Southern and App.
Well, USC has beaten UGA several times now and have been in the National Championship hunt and conference title.
Not sure what imagination you are stretching to get this comparison but .... ah.. maybe in 10/20 years.

Unless Troy grow a pair! USA will win by three scores

No imagination to stretch to. If Southern fans acted like they didn't care about State, then it would be the equivalent of when South Carolina joined the SEC and how UGA didn't care about them. But y'all do. IF(and it is a big if, but it can happen) State were to win the first 2 meetings somehow, 10/20 years will come pretty quick.

Good analogy, Stan.
I think I heard somewhere that USC (Trojans) fans like to say: "There's nothing better than beating Notre Dame; there's nothing worse than losing to UCLA."
When the day comes that State tops Southern on the field, I have a feeling there will be a similar sentiment among Eagle fans.

Yes. Not even a question. It will be decades (if ever) before GaState tops that App St. rivalry.
Geography can be a big factor in rivalries, but it hardly ever tops history.
It's going to be awhile before Georgia State causes Georgia Southern to put "Beat GaState" on their buses for a whole week. These pictures were taken on campus today.

Actually, we are forgetting one possibility that would kill the GS/App rivalry: one of the two leaves the SunBelt.

My hatred of those mountain folk runs so deep that I'd want us to turn down an SEC invite just so we can keep playing these hillbillies long enough to take a commanding lead in the series.

That is a good analogy. Until GA State builds a winner, that rivalry will be very similar to UGA v. USC

Package deal in, probably a package deal out. If not, there is always the OOC game like UGA/GaTech, USC/Clemson.
