By "officially shuts down" do you mean the site isn't showing up right now?

Click on the ACC, B1G, or SEC and you still get to a generic blogs page, which ironically lists the Stanford blog as the only active CFB blog. http://espn.go.com/blog/stanford-football/

Looks like the blogs are being reduced to 17 teams:

Alabama
Auburn
Florida
FSU
Georgia
LSU
Michigan
Nebraska
ND
Ohio State
Oklahoma
Oregon
Penn State
Stanford
Texas
Texas A&M
USC

The conference blogs seem to be done across the board.

But the AAC has plenty of teams as good or better than many so-called P5 schools. It is what it is but how crazy is it that some of those schools get the benefit of being called "power" and some of us do not. Despite playing better on the field and more fans, better environment, etc. it's just a made up term based on conference TV money.

Just keep fighting that's what we've always done at ECU. Nothing new. Maybe one day CFB will have a level playing field.

They got more UH highlights from the UNLV then the Lord allows...what's up with that, and I'm a Cougar fan, figure ECU would get a lot more play.

Some of the announcers during the ECU/UNC game did say the American is trying to break into the the power conference circle by being the P6 conference, so Aresco talking points about the American being a no. 6 power conference is starting to resonate. Its up to the AAC teams make good on his promotng the AAC as the 6th.

Just went there. It's not down. There was an article from the 21st about ECU in the polls.

I guess it's still a ghost page but it's been removed from the ESPN CFB home page and they weren't putting in any credible content to begin with so it might as well not even exist. They've now removed all content from the site completely.

I see an ECU story there (well ECu and Miss St getting to top 25. I thik they just have a set up where any video or remotely related AAC story gets shoved over there automatically.

Other posters are right, though, no content to speak of.

When I posted it the blog had all content erased out of it at that point. Regardless, it has been moved completely off the home page when I click there yet the other 5 conferences now have a scrolling bar with their logos on it.
