1-5 for 21 yards right now.

The Jaguars are absolutely awful!

Funny thing is 4 of Bortles' 5 passes so far were right on the money. Jags just can't get anything done.

Apparently two TDs and two INTs is good enough in Jax to win you the starting job.

@AdamSchefter - Jaguars HC Gus Bradley announced QB Blake Bortles will start next week.

Holy crap, he's a starter! That's awesome!!!!! 04-cheers 04-cheers 04-cheers

Starting before Bridgewater or Manziel. Derek Carr got the starting job at Oakland as a 2nd rounder, too!

I knew the "we're going to sit him for the year" was BS, but never thought it would happen this fast.

They should do the kid a favor and sit him....he is going to be hearing foot steps by mid season walking from his car to his door. They should let Henson be the tackling dummy this season. Finish last and find a couple stud Tackles.

No Brainer...as the Jags only had 55 yds (0 pts) at halftime...while Blake almost doubled that in his first 2 drives (93 yds).

Blake has a lot to earn...he will probably get beat up, throw some INT's and lose a lot of games this year...but the Jag fans (few that might be left) need to see a glimmer of hope.

When the Jag fans gave Blake a rousing applause after his first or 2nd drive ended near midfield (3rd and 17 pass fell incomplete), you knew right then and there he would have to start Week 4.

JAX offensive line makes tampa's look good. You hope that he doesn't get killed out there...but this is the story with most highly drafts rookie QBs. JAX has been a place where young QBs go to die....

Historically, yes. I'm hoping they can limp through this season and pick up some line leadership through free agency, and a couple of legit O-linemen through draft picks.

More than likely Blake gets chased around like a Benny Hill episode.

While next week's game at San Diego might be somewhat ugly for the Jags/Blake...the next few match-ups (some at home), might give him a better chance at shining:

at San Diego
PITTSBURGH
at Tennessee
CLEVELAND
MIAMI

Blake just has to survive the game vs the Chargers and hopefully the team and him can play well in some upcoming home games.

What is wrong with Bortles, he is an interception machine.

The Texans have a better roster than the Jags. But today was mostly all on Blake, he made some horrible decisions. The defenses the last 2 weeks are jumping the short routes b/c the Jags offense hasn't completed enough deep passes to respect that threat

Jacksonville is where rookie QBs go to die.

Well, rookie mistakes are rookie mistakes. Nobody's perfect.
