why make a thread just to complain about okorn, despite a blowout win...

tanner lee from tulane is averaging like 3 ints a game but i dont see their fans making threads to complain about their qb

ucf qb hasnt looked good besides the half at psu but i dont see threads dedicated to that from their fans?

smu is down to their 4 string walk-on qb ...where are the threads for that

we have a UH forum... for stuff like this

I think he can eventually snap out of it. It's not like he isn't talented, he has already proven that he is.

PJ Walker hasn't been very good either. He was forcing throws today and threw two bad picks. He played okay against Vandy and Navy.

The reason I made the thread was to get other peoples opinion on O'Korn, plain and simple.

Forgive me I if I am not happy he is doing better than the SMU and Tulane QBs

Agreed. He needs to quit forcing throws to where they don't need to be. Also, he shouldn't stare down his targets like he's been doing. I saw him do that at least once tonight at the game. I even told my girlfriend that he "stared Greenberry down" the whole time before throwing to him. That part bothers me, but I have faith he'll learn to keep his eyes moving. That is, if he hasn't already.

100% OC Bush's fault..horrible offense.
O looks terrible despite the 399 rushing yards we put up.
They had JOK running all over the place most of the night.
Empty middle of the field and we never run quick slants.
Everything is a deep fly or cross.

You want to know the real a problem. The receivers are not really open. The patterns are a simplistic joke. High school passing games are more sophisticated. Zero Air Raid concepts.

Can we just blame the entire passing game? The running game was awesome.

I’ve got to agree with this, it’s not exclusive to O’Korn, PJ has not been sharp either. I’m not sure if this is the issue with O’Korn but what concerns me about PJ is the interceptions have come because of poor decisions.

His interceptions yesterday and the one against Navy were all a result of trying to force the ball into the end zone to a covered receiver on first down. If he’s trying to do that on third down when they are out of field goal range I don’t have a big problem with it because the net result is the same as a punt, but on first down throw it away if no one is open and play another down.

The only thing I am holding onto is with college QB’s, especially freshmen and sophomores, when they look outstanding I try not to get too excited because they probably aren’t really as good as they looked, the other side is also true, when they look bad and make poor decisions I don’t write them off because they probably aren’t as bad as they look either.

O’Korn and PJ will both work it out and be fine, it’s just part of the growing process. The mark of a quality team is they have to find a way to win when the QB is not throwing the ball well and that’s easier said than done.

I don't mind the thread... I think it's a little to early to go after O'Korn's head, IMO.

Kid looked good last against us. Sophomore slump?
PJ is dealing with a tender ankle that's limiting his mobility. That has to effect his decision-making.

Last I heard this was a college football forum. So now I am not allowed to complain a bit about my teams QB??? If we follow your logic there would be no complaining ever ,since they are ALL 20 year olds. They have to be able to deal with criticism, it's part of sports.

Not your fault bro. Pesik has been talking up your QB and WR's, and even the Temple QB all summer. It doesn't exactly fit in the narrative he was preaching nor does his expected numbers crash of Carden's to drop facing all this stiffer AAC competition. I could have sworn Carden just had about 400 something yards on two ranked teams including a Bud Foster D on the road, and 300 and something on South Carolina as well. Not to shabby considering he sat one of those quarter as well. I don't forsee much of a numbers decline on the way.
