Because of their skill set. Running is not something that you get taught really, it's much more intuitive. While passing and reading defenses and the field takes practice and a lot more knowledge. It makes sense Ward can be successful without much help.
So are you saying O'Korn is smarter then Ward? If Ward was just scrambling at the end of the season like he was when he first starting playing QB, I may agree with you. But against Cincinnati, he showed a better ability to read defenses then O'Korn showed this year or last.
You can twist my words around as you like, but I never mentioned the relative intelligence of each kid. I said their "skill set" requires different things. Ward is a runner, O'Korn is a passer. Running doesn't require the amount of knowledge and intelligence being a passer requires. I don't know either kid and would not fathom to pretend to know their relative smarts.
I am not twisting your words. I am interpreting them just as you posted them. From Ward's stats this year, he certainly did a better job passing then the passing QB. Perhaps you evaluation of his "skill set" is just off.

LOL As i never talked about their relative intelligences, and you inferred that I did, you are twisting my words. That is pretty much the definition of doing so.
But let's play along. Can you please post the stats that you claim support your assertion that I called O'Korn more intelligent? And explain how they prove that I'm incorrect?
Just FYI Greg Ward had a Run to Pass ratio of about 1:2 vs O'Korn's of about 1:6. But I guess you're right Ward's skill set is definitely focused on passing and O'korn's is running. Totally the opposite of what I said.

That's what you get when the stalwart of quarterback evaluation, Trent Dilfer, makes the decision on rankings.
Herman has a strong reputation of developing QBs- Too bad for Hicks, Good News for O'Korn.
As does Morris, but that is beside the point. Inquiring about whether Hicks decided to decommit or if he was asked to go elsewhere.
I'm pretty sure it was his decision. Haven't heard anything official, but the chatter is mostly that once Levine was gone, he started listening to offers.
