7. South Florida

9. Tulane
10. Tulsa
11. Southern Methodist

I think that the gap between ECU and Cinci is due to the ECU defense, which I think is much better than Cinci's D. I really, really wish that UCF played Memphis this year because I'm sure that it would be a great game... but I'm damn glad that ECU avoids the Tigers.

After these three, I think that there is a pretty big drop off. Houston and Temple are pretty much interchangeable.

7-10 are all pretty much equals. Southern Methodist is a team that I can honestly see going 0-12 this year. The good news is that SMU has the resources to be "the next big thing" in our conference and Tulane has been recruiting well enough to good over the next few years. UConn will get better once they finally have some players and I think that South Florida can say the same. The only team that I see as "trending down" right now is Tulsa... but a lot can change and I hope that they are much better by season's end.

I'll be honest I haven't been impressed with Cincy. They barely pulled off a win against Miami-Oh. I'm hoping that was a fluke game. The stats were about dead even in the game. Memphis looks really good and I'm impressed with Temple.

Usually if there's a tie, both teams are tied for the lowest position which would be 5 in this case.

I don't think that's the case. That would mean that if two people tied for first they would both be 2nd. Even the Olympics crowns two 1st place winners.

I don't know if UC's performance was a fluke or not, but I suspect UC was looking ahead to Ohio State, and I am positive that the Miami players were as "up" for the game as they could possibly be.

RE: Week 4: Rank the AAC
1. ECU - they've looked good and they've got the resume... you've got to give them #1 for now
2. UC - might be the best team, but haven't proven nearly as much as ECU yet
3. UCF - Haven't been impressed so far, but I think challenging themselves OOC will help them in AAC
4. Memphis - Great start to the season, but this is as high as I can jump a team based on a couple Sept wins
5. Temple - Like Memphis, they've put themselves in the top half by starting hot... good qb play goes a long way
6. Houston - Put up some stinkers OOC, but will get it figured out in time just to piss off AAC teams
7. USF - It's getting bad now guys
8. UConn - Really bad
9. Tulsa - Ranking them above Tulane entirely based on winning h2h
10. Tulane - Could be a riser up this list, but the start isn't good and the expectations were low
11. SMU - not competent offensively or defensively

SMU travels to ECU in 2 weeks.

We've got 2 weeks to get ready for SMU. Hoping we don't have a letdown.

Jury is still out on UCF. Penn St is 4-0 but Mizzou might not be so good. We'll see how UCF fares against Houston and BYU. I would be ecstatic with a 3-2 start to the season considering how front-loaded the schedule is and the guys that we lost.

As a Tiger fan, you have no idea how refreshing and nice it is to read stuff like this. Almost brings a tear to my eye. Well, not really, but still!

We might need a recount, because I just can't believe that SMU is worse than Tulsa. It is close no doubt, but worse?

SMU has 12 points this season. Tulsa beat Tulane.

Yes that is pretty bad, but Tulsa gave up 50 points to FAU!! You take away that game and FAU has only gotten 26 points in total during the other 3 games that they have played in. I guess that SMU and Tulsa will settle this on the field on November 8th.
