No doubt that his star has fallen. A LT poster on the cUSA board said it was their largest crowd in years. They may not buy many more tickets after tonight.

I was so angry and disappointed when Skip left us like he did for USF at the time. I am so thankful now that he did. It is nice to feel that your coach isn't looking at every opportunity to leave that comes his way. With that said I'm still glad for what Skip did for our program.... but I will always have a chip on my shoulder when it comes to him.

It took a lot to get us out of that dumpster fire of that coach before him. If he didn't set the new foundation, we wouldn't be where we are now.

Well he sure as hell left our roster without much of a foundation but he did get the program back to winning.

Those guys? Yeah, they shouldn't be happy about that. Granted, it's a Southland conference team. That league is one of the better Div. I-AA football conferences out there. Still, you expect to win those, at least more often than not.

That can go both ways.

A coach that doesn't have the fire to better himself and doesn't do the work to get noticed by others is just...a younger Larry Blakeney at Troy.

Bless Ruffin McNeil for being an ECU alum, but I bet if he starts stringing together a load of 6-6 type seasons and a bad bowl loss to cap them to boot, you're not thanking him for being "a lifer".

What a silly post…Clearly performance is key. I doubt Coach Ruff would expect to keep his job if he was not winning games. Coach Ruff works his ass off for his love of ECU not to impress other schools so he can get a different job and that was the point. Coach Holtz was an attention whore and loved his name being in the media for other jobs.

Skip will be a career job jumper just like his daddy was.

Speaking of which, I really wish ESPN would can the senior Holtz.

ESPN in general needs to go take a running leap, but Lou is painful to watch. Factor in the stupid People's Court skit and the homerism for the alleged 'power five' and its almost an unwatchable program.

As for Skip, i'm grateful for what he accomplished here, but he's a memory. We're in a much better place with Ruff, and now we don't have to see yearly "He wants to go to Minnesota/Syracuse/Cincinnati/USF over us?" meltdown threads.
