The Wave!?!?
A great drive going. And it dies when the crowd starts doing the wave. You would think its the 4th quarter with a big lead. Jeez....

Glad to know I am not the only out there who hates seeing that at pretty much any sporting event!

Maybe it died when they quit passing the ball and decided they needed to run....

And the wave was mostly while they were changing out the chains.

This becomes less of an issue because we won. But it was amateurish. The only reason anyone should've been bored at that moment were little kids who didn't know what was happening.

You know, you should just be happy we had more than enough people to actually do it.

Times are good when people are bitching about a crowd cheering.

After all the hell we have been through, you are going to complain when we all start having a little fun at a game? Geesh. Lighten up.

Indeed.

Although the Pirtle's chicken dance was...er...please leave it out of the next seasons.

I thought it was great. Can't recall the last time a wave was done in the Liberty Bowl FOR our tigers.

For the record, I did NOT participate in the wave...didn't even throw a hand up.

RE: The Wave!?!?
I just KNEW I would get back home and some putz would have started a thread about how lame the wave was. For your information, my wife LOVED it. And it my wife loves it, IT STAYS!!!!!. Seriously, we need all the fans we can get, and if that adds to the gameday experience for some people, then so be it.

RE: The Wave!?!?
Wave or not. That is the question! I thought it was great! It might be lame, but we haven't had a crowd that big in 8 years! I'm not complaining! And this is coming from a member of the 4100 club! We need to fill the Liberty Bowl for the Houston game!

RE: The Wave!?!?
my 2 cents, if people wanna do the wave then go for it, but I personally think it's rude and insulting to your team if you do it while they're playing b/c (again, IMO) it's something you do at a game when you're bored... 10 run lead in a baseball game kind of scenario... oh well, glad we had the crowd to pull it off if it's going to be done though

I see it more as a sign that e'ryone was having a good time. That hasn't happened much in recent years, so maybe they didn't know wth else to do.
