RE: The Wave!?!?
It was fine.

The bigger issue with the extra fans...something we are thrilled to have...is there lack of knowledge about etiquette...getting up in the middle of plays...drifting onto their seats late and making no effort to move in and out without lingering with ass in face...and not taking advantage of the huge numbers of natural breaks in order to get up and down. The cigarette smokers in the concession lines leave a little to be desired as well. Those are much more problematic than fans doing the wave.

But...it is recognized that new fans are great...and they will have time to learn some etiquette making the experience better for all.

Yes...I expect the how dare you tell people how to be good fans crowd to come out of the woodwork because grousing about cigarettes in your face in the concessions area means lecturing in the same read where folks a carping abut the wave.

Hope we have 50K next game...and hope they arrive just a little earlier, and get up to use the bathroom or concessions during the approximately 100 breaks in the action rather than giving me a butt in face in the middle of the play.

The game was fun. Never gonna see me complain about new fans or fans that aren't familiar with when and when not to get up to go to the restroom or concessions. have to start somewhere. Just glad they came out. We just got a huge win in front of a big crowd and we are seriously complaining?

RE: The Wave!?!?
In an interview on NBC of Alan Cross, he said that he, the offense and the entire team loved it. He said it gave them a little extra motivation.

Any complaints after that, sorry... you and your individual taste <<<<<<<<< the team and what makes them play well.

Making noise while our team is calling signals and the game is still losable is generally stupid.

Mabey ,just mabey it was a way for the crowd to thank the players and coaching staff in a real way for what we were watching. How on earth can that be a bad thing ? I am sorry but if you are offended by that you have issues that prozac can't help.

When people want to walk past me while I'm sitting...I stand up. This technique allows me to see better, gives them more room to pass by, and keeps their butt out of my face.

And it my wife loves it, IT STAYS!!!!!. Seriously, we need all the fans we can get, and if that adds to the gameday experience for some people, then so be it.

My wife and 14YO daughter came to the game -- and hell apparently had not frozen over.

they enjoyed it.

And during the post-game interviews one of the players (don't remember who) said they loved it.

The dipsheet is supposed to drop the pole when the action gets close. If he had dropped it like he was supposed to it wouldn't have broken, we are lucky that Frazier wasn't injured when he crashed into it.

Good info Mimi, I do the same use before and stand up to allow passers. I even fold up my seat if I have to and I'm always concerned of those around me especially the kids. They are watching and they are young football players that love Memphis Football. I notice these things.

Mimi seems to think the entire section or at least row she sits on is hers. If you have to piss too bad. Hold it til halftime. Kid needs a soda? Too bad kid, mimi is try to sit on her fat ass and watch the game uninterrupted. Seems mimi might need to sit on her own couch to watch so none of the other 46000 plus there inconvenience her. Probably the same hag that sits behind us at basketball games and yells at my wife to sit down when we make an exciting play.
