But UC has a potent offense that will only get better as the year goes on.

My hope is that the defense will figure it out and stop giving up big plays.

I don't know about you all losing to tOSU. Navy should have beaten tOSU, so I think Cincy will be in that game until the end; because tOSU quarterback is really green.

Lol we will be sure to practice extra for Memphis

Practice all you want. We don't play you guys this year, and there is no CCG.

Thank you, Captain!

A couple of guys apparently missed that little obvious fact.

In 08 played a grind it hope we score enough with decent offense and our slightly above average defense holds up and we run the clock out. Under Ruff most of the time we are looking for blood.

I think it's fair to say this is actually is a top 10 offense. We really didn't even have trouble moving the ball on South Carolina. Our defense is flirting with being as good as it was in 08 as well. I think 08 was better but not but a whole lot. The guy really behind the schemes in 08 is here now as well running this D. So when you combine an elite unit with a slightly above average one I think you get a legit team that shouldn't hold up where as 08 was what it was.

I completely agree with your assessment. This is probably the best ECU offense ever, and our defense is just a little bit behind that '08 defense. We had a very powerful D-line that year, with multiple guys that played on Sunday, and that's not even to mention loosing the leading tackler Quinten Cotton at Linebacker in the Tulane game.

Our schedule is also set up for some real momentum this year. We should have no trouble with our next three games, which should get us to 6-1. We had Houston, NC State and Virginia coming up in '08.

The 2008 team was as decimated by injuries to key players as any I can remember in our history. The team we dressed against UK in the Liberty bowl was a shell of it's former self. I was actually surprised we likely should've beaten them.

I see a lot of great conference games this year - especially the Nov 13 ECU @ UC game. 02-13-banana
