There were probably a good number scattered around as well. That said, I wasn't there so I can't be sure, but in any case I'd say that was a respectable amount.

The great weather sure helped, as did UT and Mississippi being off.
You know what my favorite thing is about our universities not renewing this series? Other than MT dominating the series 5-2, it's the fact that you will not be engaging with our fanbase anymore. I understand why you're such an ass though... most people who live in this ****** city are. People are just miserable here. Lol

I don't care about MTSU, period. I'd much rather play ASU as they're only an hour away, and we have a lot of history with them. I love the city I live in, and 38104. You can't beat Cooper-Young, Central Gardens, Overton Square/Park. The game was a blast...Central BBQ before the game, and 46,300+ Tiger fans there to see us beat that MTSU ass.
I understand why youre such an ass, though...you hate it here, and I don't care how big your checks are, it shows through in your personality.

Blows my mind that MT took 3k 4 hours away but only brought 1-300 to the Wku game a few years back which is only a hour drive

Wasn't that game on a Thursday? Shouldn't matter but unfortunately it does.

RE: MTSU @ Memphis
It was a Thursday, on ESPN and IIRC, an 8:00 start. I remember thinking we would have had to keep the kids out of school the next day had we gone so we chose to stay home and watch it on TV. It was the only one up there I have missed so far. That game should never be on a Thursday. Especially not late on a Thursday. Sometimes we sell our soul for TV. It happened here one year too but at least that one was a 6:30 kick. I blame the SBC for piss poor scheduling.
PS. our band is over 300 people so I think your math is off. I don't think we have ever brought less than 1k up there.

As I said earlier, when I worked for Apple I helped open the stores in Nashville (green hills) and Knoxville (West Town)
I even lived at College Grove in Murfreesboro for awhile...I was so happy to go home to Memphis.

Ok I've been to all and they are nothing to write home about. I'll lay off because I know you hear it all the time how people just want to leave this dump. I may be an ass, but it's simply a byproduct of the very low morale in Memphis. I care nothing of UM either and also don't care what you or anyone else thinks of my school. Say whatever you want about it. Regarding my pay, it's ok. I'll continue to cash the checks. You have nothing to worry about there! Lol

That was maybe during the time when you guys were the FIU of today. I remember people were just kind of "Meh" about it when it wasn't super competitive.
Probably was 2008? There was an official/announced of only 11,817 when MT won 21-10. MT was 3-6 at the time (yikes) and WKU 2-8.

It was cold and wet. Nobody wanted to be there. Pretty sure the PA guy was the only one excited about that game.
THIRD DOWN THUNDER with 4 people cheering was pretty comical.

There would have been 45,000+ there if we were playing Nichols State. This fan showing had nothing to do with who the opponent was. This city is fired up for the Tigers. I don't mean any disrespect to MTSU by that, as I'm sure you understand what I mean.

Both Middle Tennessee State University and the University of Memphis are state schools in Tennessee. Also, Memphis beat MTSU 17-36 in week 4 this season.

I remember that day well, it was Nov. 2008, because I had to move that day...It was miserable to say the least, and was a cold drizzle/rain all day....
