Your win over the Cajuns this year might be the only Sun Belt team worth a damn that you've played(and that remains to be seen), I've never said your choice to move to the WAC was a bad one, you played in a better conference and didn't have to be peers with ULM, I get it, I do, but separation?

If you say so.

You sound like a Memphis fan.

How's that?

Memphis fans are claiming superiority over MT when we've beaten them 5 out of 6, you're claiming superiority over an entire conference based on beating two members a combined 5 times, not one(so far) with a winning record and 3 out of 4(from completed seasons) against teams at the bottom of the conference.

Suppose sone AAC team beat FIU and UTEP four times, neither team with a winning record in any of the four games, would you say that AAC team was superior to CUSA?

Can we stay on topic?

ULL ended up with egg on its face. And the LT recruits laughed.

Thank you, Miner Fan.

Some of us who are tired of being beat over the head about usl are laughing at this as well. One ul coach in particular who used to be here i would have loved to see his face when he hears this.

A small sample size against against terrible teams.

ULL hasn't beat Tech in almost 20 years. ULM hasn't beat Tech in almost 30 years. That's 7 straight wins against ULL and 8 straight wins against ULM.

This year was (potentially) the first good team you beat in any of those games, I know I'm not telling you anything you don't already know by pointing out that being better than those two isn't saying much. Up until the last few years, neither of them were really a factor in conference.

Again, I get it, in your position at the time I wouldn't have wanted to be in the Sun Belt either, it was a good home for us brand new to FBS. You guys rightfully viewed it as the home of ULL and ULM and a bunch of FBS newbies.

My only point is, I don't think you can claim superiority over an entire conference based on your history with ULL and ULM and a pair of wins over UNT that had 5 combined wins.

That is the entire point of my original post... Do you actually read messages before you make a reply? If ULL and ULM have crappy teams and we beat them it only further makes my point. 04-jawdrop

Beating crappy ULL and ULM means you are superior to the Sun Belt?

Yes and who in the Sunbelt has a winning record against us? You point out your victory against us years ago but what is the series record? I used the word historically for a reason in my original post.

Facts always (should) end a pissing match.

LA Tech vs Current 'belch:

Arky State - 25W - 12L, 9 of last 10
UDAHO - 6W - 2L
USL - 46W - 33L, 6 in a row
NLU - 29W - 14L, 6 in a row
NMSU - 8W - 4L, 6 in a row
TXST - 1W - 0L
Troy, South Alabama, GAST, GA Sou, App State - no history

Against recent sunbelch teams

FIU - 1W - 0L (given, this was in CUSA play)
MTSU - 3W - 1L
NT - 7W - 6L, 7 of last 9
WKU - 2W - 1L - last game was us winning the D2 championship game in '73.

And, btw, don't be offended that you were in the 'belch, just be glad you finally got out.

Not a losing record in there. The only one that's really close is NT.

My question is: Isn't a violation of some sort for them to contact your committed recruits and invite them for a campus visit? I guess if just verbaled it's no big deal, but I wouldn't think they could have contact with them and treat them to a game on campus.

Nope. Verbal commits take visits and recruiting calls every day. They also seem to change commitments pretty regularly.

So we are 116-65 all time against the Sunbelt - that's why some of them hate us so much.

We have actually won 47 against the Cajuns now I think.

Yeah, I used cfbdatawarehouse, they didn't have this seasons games loaded yet. I noticed when I did the NT game, but forgot about la-la.

Inviting LaTech's recruits to the game in Lafayette was arrogant and bone-headed. Only other thing we could have done to top it would have been to spend $10K on a fireworks display afterwards for the enjoyment of Tech's fans.
