What are the skyboxes like?
Was thinking about getting tix there. Does it include free food and booze? Are they nice?

Those are the furthest seats from the field in the whole stadium.

Free? I just paid $8,100 for a Conway Services coffee mug. But it came with a free furnace / AC unit.

I believe they renovated them last year. New elevators, new lobby, new LB offices on that side. They are far from the action.

It's been a few years, but when I went you could roll your own cooler up there with booze/food/etc.

Remodel Liberty Bowl Suites

They are nice but a tad far away.

I thought about tickets there just so I could do this:

But alas, I am a man of the people so instead opted to go lower bowl 50 yard line.

In all seriousness, they are a really long way from the field.

It is also a steep angle down to the field. I always feel like I am about to fall out the window watching a game from there. You are also disconnected for the crowd noise. I think you have to buy the food from them too. Best thing about them is that unlike to suites in the FedEx Forum all these have their own bathrooms.

I did a couple years ago and while they are nice inside, the view is not good. The new large scoreboard really comes in handy as I found myself watching the plays on that. I also enjoyed free food and drink. Many "Fed Ex" tags on the suite doors.

Used to get into the skybox many years ago. They are so far up, you have trouble reading the jersey numbers. The only plus I could see was not having to sit in the cold or rain.

There has been no food/ beverage when I have rented one, I had to 'bring in' my own food, they allowed me to bring in food and beverage..

FedExForum suite rental does not include food or beverage either and IF you want it you have to buy it from them .. it is pretty good (not great and not cheap)

I would never want to sit in the skyboxes for a Tigers game. But I have been to several Liberty Bowls as a guest in a skybox and if you are there to party and mingle, it's not bad.

Depends on if you want to look at the players faces or if you want to see entire field and see plays develop. Personally i love sitting up as high as possible when i was younger. It allowed me to see each play develop.

I would describe the experience as "detached." I've seen several games from them. If you have a group that wants to stay together and chat , fine...but you don't feel like you're part if the action.
