RE: GS/GSU ticket sales
my eagle brethren are killing me, I know its important to go through the GS ticket office, why cant they integrate to the seat map or something for GaSt?? This annoys me to no end, I want to pick seats and sit there, not too much to ask for

I bet GS brings 10-15k and GSU brings 10-15k. Should be a good 20-30k. I'm leaning towards 30k.

Are there usually many Ga St folks sitting on that side or is that likely tickets sold through Ga St from maybe GS people? I know you probably don't know exacts, but an idea would help. I don't like ordering fix through our box office because they assign random seats and I rather pick my own….I know GS folks
Hope you change your mind on this sometime.
I know but I am paying for the tickets there are plenty of good seats I like to be on aisle, I don't care to go in the GS lotto and end up in crappy seats
Then just sit on the end? Its basically gonna be general admission anyways. We have the whole dome basically to ourselves.
lol. that is exactly what I was thinking. It isn't like the game is a sellout at Paulson. Even if GS brought 15k fans, and ga state brings their usual 5k, there will still be a ton of free seats.

Buy some seats and sit where you want. The lower bowl sits 28,155. There will be 28,155 there.

it has to do with the points system. You can order tickets, but until they issue them based on points you don't know what you'll get. Would it be nice to pick your seats, yes. You just can't do it that way with a point system and almost no deadline to order.

I really hope they sellout the lower bowl. I think it'll be close if both schools show up better than expected. I say 12K for GS and 9K for GSU actually show up. Hope more for both schools, but I those numbers are a safe guess.

I'm thinking closer to 20k. I think we bring about 12k and they bring about 8k. I think their fans are too apathetic to care about it being Ga Southern.

First time I ever sat in my actual seats was this years game vs SSU...NCST? Nope, USA? Why Bother, Tech? Again...we had free range up on the upper deck. GS fans when we're visiting turn their sections into one big family General Admission section, just stand up, scream loud, and Hail Southern.

Big unknown isnt it. I would feel better if we were to enter that game 3-4. But if the slide continues and/or we lose to USA I think a lot of people on both sides will see this as ho-hum.
What I did think of the other day is that the next Atlanta game would be in 2016. Could we play at the Ted right after the Braves move out?

What ticket office you go through is not important really. If I remember the way this thing works right, Georgia Southern cannot gain monetarily from the tickets sold for this game. It only works for bowl games when a school must "buy" tickets and then resell them to their fan base.

I think he is referring to tracking how many GS fans go to away games in regards to showing how well we travel as being an attractor to being selected for a bowl.

See this as ho-hum? GSU can go 0 and forever and GS folks will make it to this game. For all the slack that has occurred between our two schools in modern history. Theres no way Southern fans miss the opportunity to rub some dirt into this new wound.

See I think that is mostly internet fodder. I dont get that from Southern fans in the street. Also if this game is televised there will be a huge dropoff in attendance.

I was on your campus today and would have given you the what for if I could have picked you out. The homecoming banners down there are very cool.

I just don't want to be GSU's 1st conference win this season (or ever )
A big crowd should make North Avenue nervous. They keep pretending like everything is A OK and now that they have scheduled themselves to 5-0 they cant stop slapping themselves on the back. But they are just a couple seasons away from being Vandy or Wake.

I really hope they sellout the lower bowl. I think it'll be close if both schools show up better than expected. I say 12K for GS and 9K for GSU actually show up. Hope more for both schools, but I those numbers are a safe guess.
Big unknown isnt it. I would feel better if we were to enter that game 3-4. But if the slide continues and/or we lose to USA I think a lot of people on both sides will see this as ho-hum.
They're just being nice to your face. We all want to embarrass Georgia State.
