Sports Bar thread

We've got some people setting up a cruise for our 30th high school reunion. And they've declared it's going to be an "80's cruise". So the guys are trying to find a place where we can get parachute pants :) One of our guys even says he still has a pair, but now he's got to exercise to get in shape to be able to wear them..

After thinking about it, I think he was suggesting that this thread was meant for the Sports Bar, however, this thread is for people the post in the Spin Room.

Sports Bar sucks.

Great music and the rebirth of Muscle Cars. T.G.I.F. starting trends for Resturant Bars, MTV was about Music Videos. RAP hadn't caught on yet. Jobs were easy to get and keep if You chose to stay with it. Gas was cheaper as were Houses . Post Carter era brought down interest rates. Travel was safer to foreign countries if you wanted to go. Got Married to same Woman as with Today. Daughter born late '80's. Real leader in Whitehouse.

For having my Remembering the 80's thread moved to the Sports Bar forum, where a whopping THREE people are viewing, until I left and it became two.


I apologize for trying to lighten things up a little in the Spin Room.

Transformers and other toys still made of actual metal parts.

And Lawn Darts!

Nobody goes there, that's why I posted here. I figured there could be just a little General Talk here too. As far as that goes, I don't even think of sports when I think of the 80's, and nobody had mentioned any.
