I don't have a pick in the fight... But why change the punishment? Doesn't seem right to me or the fans.

Since we don't know what he said on top of the table in the student union, one can only surmise it was considered anti-female considering that they added to his punishment after a full day of Goodell/domestic violence talk. Pure speculation.

Don't know what he said? It was all over the internet.
He used the F_ _ _ word and the P_ _ _ _ word in a sentence, screaming it from the top of a table in the student union.

Re-read the thread. It is known what he said.

Sorry, should have typed 'we don't "know" what he said'.

It wasn't sexist, it wasn't directed at anyone, I'm sure no one who was there or heard it was offended in any way shape or form, and he didn't even start this saying. This definitely doesn't call for any kind of suspension. At the very worst, like another poster said, have him run some laps.

Given the trouble that he has already been in with women, what he said was totally moronic. He is a loser, plain and simple. No common sense, only cares about himself and any attention that he can get. He has earned this suspension.

I agree. Florida State already has a Title IX issue due to their failure to investigate the sexual assault charge and now he adds this to his string of off the field incidents. He has become an embarrassment to FSU and embarrassment to the Heisman voters.

Winston has managed to get suspended from both the baseball and football teams in the same year. That should help his draft status. The NFL is changing rapidly and a knucklehead like Winston is going to scare off NFL teams unless he gets his act together quickly.

RE: Jameis Winston is back in the news...again.
There may be more to this than the phrase. The Interim President and AD were the ones to give him the half-game suspension earlier this week and they came back and increased it based upon further evidence.

"Based upon the results of our continuing investigation of Tuesday's incident involving Jameis Winston, we have decided to not play him for the entire game against Clemson on Saturday night," interim Florida State president Garnett S. Stokes and athletic director Stan Wilcox said in a joint statement Friday night.

This means either the outcry was too strong to ignore with only a half-game suspension or there was more to it than just jumping up on the table and shouting that phrase. If it's the latter, I'd be curious as to what it was.

Isn't there a medical condition that prevents some people from controlling their impulsiveness? Maybe that's what Winston has.

just because it was not directed at a specific person does not mean its not sexist.

And if no one was harmed... Why is this a big deal? I'd be more concerned with his theft more than anything.

This guy kept tricking the same news station into letting him on and then saying it.

(The second two are the original guy. I think he's done it three times now though.)

My main caveat is the fact that this meme is soooo two months ago.

This is the first time I've heard about this. Did the original male field reporter from Fox News start this?
No the old guy in the hoodie started it.

The videos have been discovered as being faked. They aren't real news stories.
