2.Cinci-1-0, Very early but a lot of talent and big P5 names left to play.
3.Marshall-3-0, weak schedule could get them to 13-0 and snubbed.
4. N. Illionois-3-0, Next one @ Arkansas is pivotal. Win and they jump 2
5. Boise St-2-1, Loss to top 10 team, Play ranked BYU at home later.

VaTech is far from a "top 10" team, they'll be lucky to be ranked at season's end

Is Rhode Island top 10 in division 3?

I agree those are the top five, and I would guess that there is about a 80% chance that one of those five teams gets the Access Bowl bid.

As of right now, I think Northern Illinois, Cincinnati, and East Carolina are all basically "tied".

And I think Marshall and Boise State are basically tied with each other, but a step behind the other three.

Even if that proves true at the end of the year it won't matter, because Cincinnati and East Carolina both play multiple P5 teams OOC and that's probably all the committee will care about.
