I've been told that travel costs would be too expensive for nonrevenue sports if Toledo was to not be part of the MAC anymore. When does the MAC golf schedule start? There isn't one. The golf teams play in tournaments all over the country. They are UT's most travelled teams.

Come on fellas, put it in the hole!!!!!!!!!

Despite the team's 12th place finish in Memphis, UT golfer Chris Selfridge had a good tournament. Good enough to earn MAC Golfer of the Week honors.

UT ended up 9th in the tournament at Inverness. East Tennessee State was the winner.

Could have done just as well as the US in the Ryder Cup. Hunter Mahan went brain dead on 18. 20 yards of the green in 2 on a par 5 - and he takes a 6 with no penalty strokes. Lost the last 2 holes and halved the match. Pretty well sums up the tournament for the US. The US teams just cannot seem to get fired up and get the nerves out of the way. They play tentative - and get their a$$es handed to them.
