My only two questions now are, will CTW burn Flower Red-Shirt and is so, is he ready to play. 07-coffee3

White's career passing percentage is 53%, and Bench's is like 41%. White is a far better option IMO. White was hurried in the first half of WCU, but he looked much better in second half and threw some lasers. I have no doubt he would have continued to progress in game 2. White is a far better option, IMO. He just needs more time. He's played in what, 6 or 7 games total.

I'm just concerned. The clock is ticking and things are moving along that will make or break this school's athletics. Most of them are beyond our control however, winning is within our grasp. We do not have the luxury to fail further. We're out of time. 07-coffee3

I don't think the clock is ticking as fast as you think and while winning and putting people in the stands is important is NOT the driving force as proven by most of recent conference additions.

Honestly, there are only three conferences we could go too. ACC is out as they have two Florida Schools. SEC maybe but, they need only one if that. Big 12 if they ever decide to expand, is the most likely option. The B1G if they really feel like taking Florida would be a pay day. That's it.

The only other option is that the Big 12 goes nova and implodes. Then the American may take it's place but that's in no way a given.

So yes, time is an issue and it is being discussed behind closed doors. The pressure is real.

So, do we continue or do we try to move on. If White fails and Bench isn't any better; Do we burn a Red Shirt or not. That's the question I'm really asking. 07-coffee3

I do not believe that Flowers is ready to help us if we need him to be our starting QB right now. Could we use him in special packages yes. But if you think Flowers at QB will get us 2-3 more wins you are dreaming. The kid is talented but not ready to run the team right now

It was a question and an honest one. It's no secret that I've said we don't have any QB's and that we need one. I was asking and your answer while most likely true, is depressing.

I think we can win with White this year. Flowers is very talented and will push him in the future and might overtaken by next year if Mike doesn't step up this year. Bench is a good hard working kid but I can't see him as more than a back up. Either way this is the year for either White or Bench to win and strengthen their case or they will be passed by

Next year we may have another option. A young man out of Ohio named Kean. He's a Pro style passer and would be a ready fit for this offense. Just an FYI. 04-cheers

The season is early... burn the red shirt

If Taggart can recruit -- He should be finding other QB take over after Flowers

And remember, player's red shirt is not lost till their Senior Year...so if they get injured/academic problems/off-the-field problems, etc...they can always redshirt in Year 2, 3 or 4.

If a player can help...especially in a position of great need, you play them.

At this point I have no idea. I think so, but who knows. When you're under duress the whole time, it's hard to get a good evaluation. Who knows. And at this point I'm slipping into the not caring either way attitude. So tired of this garbage.

You got the same problem we have a mediocre offensive line. Should be a good hard fought game I'm glad it's cooler at night.
