Polls don't mean crap this early in the season. VT is a good team and it was a quality win. I like Marshalls chance to go undefeated going into the conference championship. They will play there hardest game of the year against Rice or UTSA maybe La Tech. If they win they have a great shot at a bcs type bowl.

Regardless of what happens, none of that money is going into my pocket. Like I've said probably 100 times on these boards, I really only care what happens to ECU. I won't deny that half of AAC football is trash. ECU is gunning for that Access Bowl right now. If we can beat UNC next week, we're securely in the driver's seat.

...LMAO. You arent in the drivers seat for anything pal. You have to be the highest ranked champion of one of the G5 conferences for that to happen. At the moment Marshall and Cinci (getting top 25 votes) are at the front of those races.

Honestly, ECU is already in the driver's seat. See who has more votes tomorrow between Marshall, ECU, & Cincy. Really not trying to be callous but I'd be shocked if we didn't leapfrog both when the polls come out.

ECU is no more in the driver's seat with 9 games left to play then anyone else not receiving votes. And yeah I would take your bet, ECU is not going to leapfrog Marshall or UC when the polls come out tomorrow.

What you got?

I would have made that bet but I didn't see your post in time. I'm not even here to say I told you so but let's be real. SC & VT are legit and the season will further prove that. If ECU beats #25 UNC this Saturday for ECU's 4th consecutive win over the ACC, then ECU might even jump into the top 20 by next poll. The committee has explained ad nauseum that they will put a heavy emphasis on SOS. That in conjunction with the fact that ECU is playing quality football all over ESPN and is thus getting much needed notoriety makes me believe that even a 2-loss ECU is a threat to be ranked by season's end and also would still be a threat for the access bowl. Team's are gonna have to pump up their OOC schedule or they will continue to hurt their chances of making a big time bowl.

Relax!! ECU will lose at least two more games! Every year they may pull off a big upset then lay an egg against some team they should have beat! I have faith in Ruffin!
