Put up 60+ week one and played tough in Minnesota. If we come out emotionally flat it could be a long day. Can and should be a win if we play up to our level. But we CANNOT over look them thinking about OM and expect to win. If we come out not ready to play it could get ugly.

They lost to Minnesota 35-24 but it was 28-0 at the half so it wasn't as close as it might sound.

They have a sophomore quarterback who didn't get a lot of playing time last year. He was 22-38 for 1 TD and 3 INT against MN. Only 2 touchdown passes this year. MTSU has a pretty good running game which should help us since we play better run defense than pass defense.

Thanks. I meant to watch them yesterday but watched Tulane instead

Their rivals board. That seems to be the only board that has any life of Middle fans.

Eh score was 28-0 at half in favor of MN. With two minutes left in the game it was 35-17 and MTSU scored a pointless touchdown with less than a minute. Not that close of a game. Point is our offense is going to have to score which we've seen this season. This offense can score and score in bunches. I think we will get this one.

Good game against UCLA. Was hoping you would get the win.
Ramen- I think our teams are evenly matched this year but I would give the edge to Memphis. We are young like Memphis but our youth lacks experience. Starts with our QB. He's talented and will get better as the year goes. His first real test was Minn and I think he was a little shocked at size and speed. He settled down the 2nd half and played well against Minn's first team.
Our OL is young and we will play a few freshmen. Defense has experience at key positions but very young elsewhere.
How we do against WKU will say a lot. They are a very good team and capable of scoring a ton of points.
I don't think either of our teams can say our matchup is a sure win. Looking forward to the trip and hope it is cooler by then.

I'm as optimistic about the season as anyone after Saturday. BUT, the next step for this team is to "bring it" week in and week out. Recent history versus MTSU shows we better be ready to play. That being said, it is a must win for Memphis.

As for the MTSU scouting report, where is TG4 when you need him?

Well, Memphis is 8-17-1 vs. MTSU and since the series resumed in 2007, MTSU has won five of the six games--so let's not get all cocky or elitist about this game.

This might be the most important game since the @Ole Miss game from 2004. There will likely be 40K+ for the game. Many giving the Tigers "one more chance". Get to 2-1 and play with house money at OM then begin play (in what appears) to be a pretty weak AAC.

Lose the game and then to OM and Memphis is 1-3 with a must win game AT Cinci. Lose that and the Tigers are 1-4 and playing in front of 19,300 vs. Houston.

I agree the most important game in 10 years. I'm glad we have two weeks to prepare

And to get a pass rush
