I don't understand why you wouldn't want to play OU. Those are the games you want to play.

Touchdown!

I hope we murderrape UCF in front of the gold chain wearing, fist pumping, roid raging, jort wearing, douchebag fanbase in Orlando.

This UCONN fan will be an honorary Tulsa fan that week.

Good. Maybe just maybe you can get your mullet headed qb to throw a completed pass.

I'm seriously trying to understand why UCONN fans are accused of being super-sensitive, when you have this a$$-clown here getting all red-a$$ed b/c I plan on being an honorary Tulsa fan. It's just baffling.

I don't care of you are a Tulsa fan that week or not. Your intention is negative so I am giving it back to you. I haven't attacked you personally. Uconn has embarrassed us in bball and right now our fball program is up. Again enjoy watching your team just don't expect to not get it back if you are talking junk about mine. Bottom line is uconn brings value as does ucf just in different ways. Don't expect me to cheer for uconn outside of ooc. Enjoy your football Saturday and I will enjoy mine.

I don't pretend to know everything about Tulsa's program, but I hear that Coach Blankenship is the issue. Tulsa typically gets good players who didn't cut it OU/OSU for whatever reason. I think that's changed under Blankenship's tenure. Which is strange because he had very deep history in the Tulsa area high school world (Union High HC for 20+ years).

I played against him in the 80's, for the Owasso Rams. Always a good program. I guess those skills didn't translate at the college level. I think TU makes a coaching change this season, or after the season.

What year did you graduate from Owasso?

I just think there are plenty of other P5 opponents we could play and be much more competitive with.

If your not in this conference to play big boy football, then what is the point? That should be the goal of every team or it's pointless to call us a "Power" conference.

Hell, I can't wait to play UCLA and Ole Miss.

RE: Tulsa - OKLAHOMA Thread
Tulsa had probably its best team in 20 years 2 years ago. We won 11 games, including the Liberty Bowl, with a completely useless QB. G5 teams rarely, if ever, win at that level with a pathetic QB.

Last year, things went bad in early games with a lot of mistakes. Our team wasn't quite as good and couldn't make up for Green's ineptness. Green was also apparently a cancer, not taking things going poorly well, and tried to divide the team. This is all rumor and pieced together from message board posts. But there was too much smoke there, from posters who don't post that way, for there not to be something to it.

As for this year, next two weeks are way more important than this OU game. This game is about revenue and I for one am glad we play it.

We play 1 SR on offense. Not start. Play. Our QB is a soph, are top 3 RB's are Soph/Soph/FR. Our WR's our Soph/Soph/JR and 2 FR are already in the rotation as backups. We are extremely young is what I am trying to say.

We are older on defense and start 4SRs, but still play a lot of youth. I, and most TU fans I think, expected the defense to be much better than they've shown through 2 games. Our LB's, who most thought would be a team strength, have literally been a no-show.

Piecing together 6-6 or 7-5 this year would be fine. I'd watch out for us in a year or two.

Relax. It's OU. They'll destroy half of their own conference like this.

OU is a blue-blood elite program....

RE: Tulsa - OKLAHOMA Thread
Tulsa is a bit down on talent and I think offensive coaching is suspect. That said, OU looked damn good. Legit top 5 team. Amazing speed, size and talent with great coaching and few mistakes. This is a more experienced team than the one that beat Bama to end last year.

We *should* have had a better showing. We would get a few stops then give up a monster play. Steady drive of offense then hand the ball over. Inconsistent football.

- - -

To the jerk UCF fan, we EASILY had four or five times our student population in our stadium wearing our team colors. You think UCF v. FSU this year would draw the same? Your average attendance is less than your student population. You should be able to draw 100k+ easily. To get the same proportion... Go draw 200k+.

Most Tulsa fans did not go to Tulsa. 4k students, 2/3rds of those international or out of state. Slightly different than a 50k commuter college.

Why so many jerk UCF fans this year? Did the idiots jump on the bandwagon after last years success? You guys used to be lots of fun.

Has nothing to do with the score. Memphis was the worst team in the FBS for a couple of years, but I wanted to play against big programs. You have to play and eventually win those games to get to the access bowl.
