And then Tulane lost 20-13 @UCF, and Tulsa lost 38-30 at home vs South Florida. And so now the poll has been changed like this:
Quote:Week 8:
8. Tulane 98
9. Tulsa 89

I don't get that.

I was going to make the same sort of complaint until I realized we were arguing over who was the skinniest kid at fat camp.

Last week 48 people voted in the poll. This week only 27 people voted.

My honest opinion since I get to see each vote up close...The two of you haven't switched places but the vote has grown much closer. As the season gets closer to the end and both are next to each other, people are starting to lean towards head to head.

Week 9 posted.

Notables: The top two teams seem to be pulling away from the pack. UConn's stock is rising...Tulsa's falling

6. Temple 217
7. Tulane 158
8. USF 136
9. UConn 99
10. Tulsa 79
11. SMU 34

Formula: 11pts for first place, 10 for second, etc. Ties had the point value for the lowest place in the tie. Both teams receive the same point total for the tie.
If there were 35 people who "voted", wouldn't SMU have to get at least 35 points?

I tabulated 34 ballots. Did I miss one?

Edit: I assume you counted first place votes. There was one ballot that had a tie for first place, thus two 1st place votes on one ballot.

No problem. I try to get this tabulated on Tuesday but it has been super busy at work and both of my boys play baseball year 'round. So, it has come out late the past couple of weeks.

If I do this next year, I may keep the voting thread down to one thread (instead of a separate one each week) so you can see the progression of comments over the season. I can just update the thread title and have the results in the OP. I'd do it now if I knew how or had the power to merge those threads.

Week 14 results have been posted in the OP.

Next week is the final regular season poll. Then I'll do one last poll after the bowl season wraps up.

RE: CSNBBS AAC Fan Poll - Weekly Results
Final Regular Season poll has been tallied and there was a definitive Champion on the board. Congrats Memphis!

To all CSNBBS AAC fans: There will be one more poll...after the bowl games. Hopefully your team doesn't stink it up and prove your team was ranked too high. The reverse holds true...hopefully your team plays well and proves it should have been ranked as high or higher than where they are now. As with all of the traditional polls. The final poll is the one that counts. Just a reminder, these are rankings...not standings. If you understand the difference, you won't have a problem. Or at least with the system.
